Clinical Project Manager Jobs in Tempe: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a clinical project manager job in Tempe?
Tempe's clinical trial activity clusters around its life sciences and medical device companies, many of which are located near the ASU Research Park and the Price Road Corridor. Candidates with PMP or CAPM certification, hands-on trial management experience, and familiarity with FDA regulatory workflows stand out most. Targeting contract research organizations and mid-size device firms in Tempe directly tends to move faster than pursuing large national systems.
Which companies hire clinical project managers in Tempe?
Tempe clinical project manager roles are posted by WSP, Arizona State University, and Honeywell Aerospace and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring tends to come from medical device manufacturers, specialty pharma companies, and contract research organizations that operate regional offices in Tempe's south and central employment districts.
Are there remote clinical project manager jobs in Tempe?
Yes, though it depends on the role: protocol oversight, vendor management, and reporting functions often go remote, while site-facing and hands-on coordination roles typically require on-site presence. About 29% of clinical project manager openings tied to Tempe are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting a broader shift among the biotech and pharma employers concentrated there. Data management and regulatory submissions work is the most consistently remote-eligible segment locally.
How can I get a clinical project manager job in Tempe with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Tempe is a clinical coordinator or clinical research associate role at one of the medical device or specialty pharma companies near the ASU Research Park, where smaller teams often promote internally. A clinical research certificate from ASU or a nearby program strengthens an application significantly. Entry-level trial support and data coordination roles at contract research organizations in Tempe also serve as a practical bridge into full project management responsibilities.
Which industries hire the most clinical project managers in Tempe?
Tempe clinical project manager roles concentrate in Consulting & Professional Services, Education, and Technology & Software, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Tempe's proximity to a major research university and its established medical device manufacturing base drives consistent demand across those sectors, with contract research organizations adding additional volume as they support regional trial activity.
