Who's Hiring

Clinical Research Assistant Jobs in Nashville: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a clinical research assistant job in Nashville?
Focus your search on Nashville's academic medical centers, large hospital health systems, and the contract research organizations clustered near the Medical Center and Midtown corridors. Candidates with hands-on clinical trial coordination experience, familiarity with Good Clinical Practice protocols, and exposure to electronic data capture systems stand out in this market. Volunteering or interning at a Nashville research institution is a recognized way to build a competitive profile before applying.
Which companies hire clinical research assistants in Nashville?
Companies currently hiring clinical research assistants in Nashville include Urology Associates, P.C., McKesson, and Genentech, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Nashville's hiring landscape is driven by a dense network of academic health systems, specialty hospitals, and mid-size contract research organizations that run multi-site trials across the region.
Are there remote clinical research assistant jobs in Nashville?
Yes, though with limits, since many clinical research assistant duties require on-site patient interaction, specimen handling, or direct trial monitoring at a facility. About 18% of clinical research assistant openings tied to Nashville are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, covering positions where the work is mostly data entry, regulatory document management, or participant recruitment coordination. Fully remote roles in Nashville tend to sit at larger CROs or sponsor companies rather than hospital-based research programs.
How can I get a clinical research assistant job in Nashville with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Nashville is through a paid research coordinator internship or a clinical research volunteer program at one of the city's academic medical centers or affiliated teaching hospitals. Entry-level titles like research associate, clinical trials data entry specialist, or study coordinator assistant appear regularly at Nashville's larger health systems and CRO satellite offices. A certificate in clinical research and demonstrated comfort with IRB submission processes gives applicants a concrete edge when competing for those roles locally.
