SUMMARY
The Clinical Research Scientist will play a pivotal role in advancing medical knowledge and improving patient care through rigorous scientific research. Designs, conducts, and analyzes clinical studies in an acute care setting that are aligned with system strategic goals and priorities. The successful candidate will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative solutions to complex medical challenges, ensuring that research findings are translated into clinical practice. The role requires a deep understanding of clinical research methodologies, regulatory requirements, and ethical considerations.
FORMAL EDUCATION REQUIRED
- PhD in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., Biology, Medicine, Pharmacology)
EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING REQUIRED
- Five (5) years of clinical research experience in a healthcare or biomedical research setting
- Evidence of clinically relevant research publications, preferred
OTHER SKILLS, COMPETENCIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong analytical and statistical skills
- Proficiency in research methodologies and data analysis software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Experience with grant writing and securing research funding, preferred
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and ethical standards in clinical research
- Demonstrated leadership, management and organizational skills
- Demonstrated skills in finance/budgeting, computer applications, customer service
- Demonstrated ongoing commitment to continuous professional growth, development and excellence required
- Ability to communicate, verbally and in writing, and work collaboratively with physicians, hospital staff, patients, and community and industry partners
- Maintains good physical and emotional well-being and positive attitude
- Population Specific Competency: Ability to effectively interact with patients/customers/coworkers with the understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity
- Ability to direct own work efforts to assure desired and contracted outcomes
- Maintain confidentiality of hospital patient information
LEVEL OF PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Sedentary: Exerts up to ten pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently
COMPENSATION
- $45.26/hr - $67.89/hr
The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay. We believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members when determining offers. Please keep in mind that the range that is listed is the full base salary range. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical.
