INTRODUCTION
Avanade is looking for a Consultant level Infrastructure/Cloud Engineer who can design and deliver end to end enterprise solutions across cloud, workplace, networking, security, and multi-vendor environments. In this role, you’ll shape architecture strategy, guide solution planning, and lead engineering teams through complex implementations. You’ll work directly with clients and cross functional teams to translate business needs into scalable, high value solutions while providing expert guidance on governance and long-term technology evolution.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop high‑level architectural approaches and lead engineering teams through solution design and delivery.
- Advise clients on IT strategy, including how to optimize spending on new and existing technologies and integrate solutions that drive organizational value.
- Work directly with clients to ensure smooth, effective design and implementation of Avanade solutions.
- Partner with cross‑functional technology and design teams to integrate technology, operations, and solution requirements into cohesive solution strategies.
- Apply technical and consulting expertise to guide clients on governance best practices, ensuring stability while enabling technology evolution to meet changing business needs.
- Coordinate work across multiple workstreams, processes, or projects.
- Own the timeliness, accuracy, and quality of your work, supporting chargeability and training expectations.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a technology or consulting environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Up to date knowledge of Microsoft technologies and product ecosystems.
- Experience with infrastructure solutions (particularly Microsoft), cloud technologies, networking, data center operations, platform migration, and enterprise directories.
- Knowledge of operations management, systems security, testing, databases, and mobility considerations.
- Prior experience leading technology infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure‑as‑code and how it intersects with DevOps models.
- Cross‑architecture skills to plan and support complex or multi‑cloud solutions.
- Advanced proficiency with PowerShell and other scripting languages.
- Ability to understand customer processes and challenges and communicate them effectively.
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present complex information to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Experience working with global and offshore teams.
- Demonstrated leadership, including setting goals for team members and acting as a key point of contact for clients.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to navigate complex technical environments.

COMPENSATION
Compensation at Avanade varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Avanade provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired as set forth below.
