Job Title: Data Collection Administrative Staff
Location: Indianapolis, IN (Onsite)
Duration: Long Term Contract
Employment Type: Contract (37.5 Hours/Week)
Responsibilities:
- Research, collect, and review court documents and criminal justice records.
- Analyze and interpret legal and court-related documentation.
- Communicate and coordinate with local and state law enforcement agencies.
- Enter and maintain accurate information within designated web portals and data management systems.
- Verify and process offender registration-related records.
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information.
- Support division initiatives and perform additional administrative duties as assigned.
- Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant completion of all assigned tasks.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Equivalent relevant work experience may be considered.
- Strong experience in data collection, data entry, and record management.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and time-management abilities.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
- Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Comfortable reviewing and processing detailed criminal justice and legal documentation.
Preferred Skills:
- Master’s Degree preferred.
- Knowledge of the Indiana Criminal Code.
- Understanding of the Department of Correction and the Criminal Justice System.
- Experience working with court documents and legal terminology.
- Familiarity with criminal history records, Triple I report, probable cause affidavits, conviction and sentencing documents, presentence investigation reports, and court orders.
- Prior research experience.
