Align your credentials with U.S. HR standards
If your HR qualifications are from outside the U.S., get a credential evaluation from a NACES-approved agency before applying. Arcadis recruits for roles that often require PHR or SHRM-CP certification, and having comparable credentials documented clearly removes a common hiring friction point.
Target Arcadis roles tied to global mobility
Arcadis staffs HR business partner and talent operations roles that support cross-border project teams. These positions are structurally more likely to come with sponsorship because the function itself involves international workforce management, making your immigration status less of a concern to the hiring team.
Clarify OPT timing before your first interview
If you're on F-1 OPT, calculate your remaining work authorization window before applying. Arcadis's HR hiring cycles in consulting can run eight to twelve weeks, and starting that conversation early gives the team time to assess H-1B cap timing or STEM OPT extension eligibility alongside your candidacy.
Use Migrate Mate to filter verified HR openings
Not every Arcadis HR posting signals sponsorship willingness upfront. Use Migrate Mate to filter for roles where Arcadis has an active sponsorship track record in this function, so you're spending time on applications that are actually viable for your visa situation.
Ask directly about LCA filing timelines during offer
Once you have an offer, ask the recruiter whether the Labor Condition Application will be filed before your start date or concurrently with the I-129. For HR roles at a consulting firm like Arcadis, projects often have fixed onboarding windows, and LCA processing through DOL typically takes seven business days.
Frame consulting HR experience in your application materials
Arcadis operates across infrastructure, environment, and design sectors with matrixed project teams. HR candidates who demonstrate experience supporting professional services or project-based workforces, rather than purely corporate HR generalist backgrounds, tend to align better with the scope of roles Arcadis actually needs to fill.

Find Human Resources at Arcadis JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Arcadis sponsor H-1B visas for Human Resources roles?
Yes, Arcadis sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying Human Resources positions. HR roles that require specialized knowledge in areas like workforce strategy, HR business partnering, or talent operations in a consulting environment are more likely to meet the specialty occupation standard USCIS requires. You'll want to confirm sponsorship intent directly with your recruiter during the interview process, as not every HR posting automatically comes with sponsorship.
How do I apply for Human Resources jobs at Arcadis?
You can browse and apply for HR roles at Arcadis through their careers portal or through Migrate Mate, which surfaces Arcadis HR openings alongside the company's sponsorship track record for this function. When applying, tailor your resume to reflect consulting or professional services HR experience, since Arcadis's workforce structure differs from a typical corporate HR environment. Follow up with the recruiter directly to raise your visa situation early in the process.
Which visa types does Arcadis commonly use for Human Resources positions?
Arcadis sponsors multiple visa categories for HR roles, including H-1B, TN (for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying HR occupations), F-1 OPT and CPT for students transitioning from academic programs, and employment-based Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 for longer-term hires. J-1 and H-1B1 sponsorship also appear in their filings. The right category depends on your nationality, education, and where you are in your immigration journey.
What qualifications does Arcadis expect for Human Resources roles?
Arcadis typically hires HR professionals with a bachelor's degree in human resources, organizational psychology, business administration, or a related field. For business partner and HR operations roles, three to five years of experience supporting professional services or project-driven teams is common. Certifications like SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR strengthen your profile. For visa purposes, the degree-to-role alignment matters because USCIS evaluates whether the position qualifies as a specialty occupation under H-1B standards.
How long does the sponsorship process take for an Arcadis HR role?
Timeline depends on which visa category applies to you. For H-1B, you'll need to account for the April lottery registration window if you're subject to the annual cap, with employment starting October 1 at the earliest. The DOL Labor Condition Application typically takes seven business days. If you're on F-1 OPT, Arcadis can often onboard you while H-1B processing runs concurrently. TN status for Canadian nationals can be obtained at the port of entry with no advance petition required.
