Tailor your resume to manufacturing tech stacks
Ashley Furniture's engineering roles support supply chain, ERP systems, and warehouse management platforms. Highlighting experience with enterprise software, systems integration, or logistics technology puts your profile in direct alignment with their internal priorities.
Confirm your degree field matches the role
H-1B eligibility requires your job to qualify as a specialty occupation. For Software Engineer roles at a manufacturing company, a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field strengthens your petition considerably. A mismatched degree can trigger a USCIS Request for Evidence.
Target roles listed in their distribution and operations divisions
Ashley Furniture's software engineering needs span factory automation, inventory systems, and retail platforms. Applying specifically to roles tied to operations or supply chain technology increases your chances of landing in a team with a demonstrated history of sponsoring international hires.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open roles by sponsorship history
Not every Software Engineer posting at Ashley Furniture leads to sponsorship. Search open roles on Migrate Mate to identify positions where the company has actively filed for H-1B or employment-based Green Card petitions, so you focus your applications where sponsorship is most likely.
Ask about H-1B timing during the offer stage
H-1B cap-subject petitions are filed in April for an October 1 start date. If you receive an offer outside that window, ask your recruiter whether Ashley Furniture will support a cap-exempt filing, a change of status, or a start date aligned to the next USCIS filing cycle.
Understand how PERM affects your long-term green card path
Ashley Furniture has sponsored EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards for engineering roles, which requires a DOL PERM labor certification before USCIS filing. Ask during negotiations whether the company initiates PERM after a set tenure period, since processing timelines run 12 to 24 months before the I-140 petition stage.

Find Software Engineer at Ashley Furniture Industries JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Ashley Furniture Industries sponsor H-1B visas for Software Engineers?
Yes, Ashley Furniture Industries sponsors H-1B visas for Software Engineer roles. The company has a consistent record of filing H-1B petitions for engineering talent supporting its manufacturing and technology operations. If you receive an offer, confirm with the HR team which fiscal year's cap-subject lottery applies to your situation, since your start date depends on USCIS selection in April.
How do I apply for Software Engineer jobs at Ashley Furniture Industries?
You can apply through Ashley Furniture's careers portal or browse their open Software Engineer positions on Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship history. When applying, align your resume to the specific technical domain the role covers, whether that's ERP systems, supply chain software, or internal tooling, since Ashley Furniture's engineering teams are operationally segmented across manufacturing and retail functions.
Which visa types does Ashley Furniture Industries commonly use for Software Engineer roles?
Ashley Furniture sponsors both H-1B nonimmigrant visas and employment-based immigrant visas, specifically EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards, for Software Engineers. The H-1B is the most common starting point for international hires. Engineers who remain with the company long-term may become eligible for employer-sponsored permanent residency through the PERM labor certification process filed with the DOL.
What qualifications does Ashley Furniture Industries expect from Software Engineer candidates?
Ashley Furniture typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, which also satisfies the specialty occupation requirement for H-1B eligibility. Practical experience with enterprise platforms, ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle, or software supporting manufacturing and logistics workflows gives your application a concrete advantage over generalist profiles.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for Software Engineers at Ashley Furniture Industries?
For H-1B sponsorship, the employer files a Labor Condition Application with the DOL before submitting the I-129 petition to USCIS. If selected in the April lottery, your start date is October 1. USCIS standard processing runs three to six months, though premium processing can reduce that to 15 business days. For Green Card sponsorship via PERM, plan for a 12 to 24 month DOL process before reaching the USCIS petition stage.
