Frame your portfolio around healthcare content
Boston Medical Center prioritizes candidates who can translate complex clinical and public health topics into accessible social content. Before applying, audit your portfolio to surface campaigns that addressed sensitive health subjects, underserved communities, or patient education.
Verify your specialty occupation eligibility early
USCIS requires Social Media roles to qualify as specialty occupations for H-1B sponsorship. A degree in communications, marketing, or digital media tied directly to your job duties strengthens your case significantly before any petition is filed.
Target Boston Medical Center's talent acquisition team directly
Large academic medical centers like Boston Medical Center route professional hires through centralized HR teams. Connecting with their talent acquisition staff on professional networks before a role is posted gives you visibility when Social Media vacancies open.
Browse open Social Media roles using Migrate Mate
Migrate Mate surfaces Social Media positions at visa-sponsoring employers like Boston Medical Center in one place. Filter by visa type so you're only reviewing roles where sponsorship is an active possibility, not a conversation you'll need to initiate from scratch.
Understand how PERM affects your Green Card timeline
If you're targeting permanent residence through an EB-2 or EB-3 pathway, the DOL's PERM labor certification process requires Boston Medical Center to document recruiting efforts before filing. Starting this conversation during negotiations, not after your first year, protects your timeline.
Negotiate your start date around H-1B processing windows
Standard H-1B adjudication runs three to five months. If your offer comes outside the October 1 cap-subject cycle, confirm with Boston Medical Center's immigration counsel whether a cap-exempt or change-of-status path applies to your situation.

Find Social Media at Boston Medical Center JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Boston Medical Center sponsor H-1B visas for Social Medias?
Yes, Boston Medical Center sponsors H-1B visas for professional roles including Social Media positions. As a large academic medical center, it has established immigration processes and works with legal counsel on petitions. Your role will need to qualify as a specialty occupation under USCIS criteria, which typically requires a directly related bachelor's degree or higher.
How do I apply for Social Media jobs at Boston Medical Center?
Applications go through Boston Medical Center's careers portal, where Social Media roles are listed under communications or marketing departments. You can also use Migrate Mate to browse current openings at Boston Medical Center filtered by visa sponsorship type, so you can confirm sponsorship availability before investing time in the application process.
Which visa types does Boston Medical Center use for Social Media roles?
Boston Medical Center sponsors H-1B visas for Social Media roles, which is the most common nonimmigrant pathway for communications professionals. For candidates pursuing permanent residence, the EB-2 and EB-3 employment-based Green Card categories are the typical routes, usually following a period of H-1B employment and initiated through the DOL's PERM labor certification process.
What qualifications does Boston Medical Center expect for Social Media roles?
Boston Medical Center typically looks for candidates with a degree in communications, marketing, public health, or a related field, combined with demonstrated experience in social content strategy and community management. Given the healthcare context, experience translating medical or public health information for general audiences is a meaningful differentiator, as is familiarity with HIPAA-compliant content practices.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Social Media hire?
For H-1B sponsorship, standard USCIS processing runs three to five months after the employer files the petition. Cap-subject petitions must be filed in April for an October 1 start date. If Boston Medical Center files for PERM labor certification toward a Green Card, that process with DOL typically adds six to eighteen months before an immigrant petition can be submitted.
