Obtain your state Master Electrician license early
Broadcom's facilities operate under strict electrical codes, so your license needs to be valid in the state where the role is based. Transferring a license across states takes weeks, and starting the H-1B petition process without it will stall everything.
Target Broadcom's facilities and campus infrastructure teams
Broadcom's Master Electrician openings are typically tied to its semiconductor fabrication facilities and data center campuses. Searching by facility location, not just job title, surfaces roles that other candidates miss when filtering broadly.
Verify your credentials meet specialty occupation standards
USCIS scrutinizes trades roles under the H-1B specialty occupation standard. For a Master Electrician position, prepare documentation showing your degree or equivalency alongside your license, because the license alone is rarely sufficient for the petition.
Confirm your employer files the LCA before your start date
Broadcom must file a certified Labor Condition Application with the DOL before submitting your H-1B petition to USCIS. If your job start date is tight, ask your HR contact specifically whether the LCA has been certified, not just submitted.
Use Migrate Mate to identify Broadcom Master Electrician openings
Filter by company and role on Migrate Mate to surface Broadcom's active Master Electrician postings that confirm visa sponsorship eligibility, so you're applying to roles where the sponsorship pathway is already established rather than negotiating it from scratch.

Find Master Electrician at Broadcom JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Broadcom sponsor H-1B visas for Master Electricians?
Yes, Broadcom sponsors H-1B visas for Master Electrician roles. Because this is a trades-based position, USCIS will evaluate whether the role meets the specialty occupation standard, so your petition needs to demonstrate that the job requires a theoretical and practical application of highly specialized knowledge, typically supported by your license and relevant degree documentation.
How do I apply for Master Electrician jobs at Broadcom?
You can browse and apply for Master Electrician positions at Broadcom directly through Migrate Mate, which surfaces Broadcom's open roles that include visa sponsorship eligibility. When applying, tailor your resume to the specific facility or infrastructure team the role supports, and be prepared to provide proof of your current Master Electrician license as part of the early screening process.
Which visa types does Broadcom commonly use for Master Electrician roles?
Broadcom sponsors H-1B visas for skilled roles including Master Electricians, along with TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals where the role qualifies. For candidates already in the U.S. on F-1 OPT or CPT, Broadcom has also supported transitions to employer-sponsored status. For permanent residency, EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways through PERM are the typical routes once you're established in the role.
What qualifications does Broadcom expect for a Master Electrician role?
Broadcom's Master Electrician roles typically require an active state-issued Master Electrician license, experience with high-voltage industrial or commercial electrical systems, and familiarity with National Electrical Code standards. Given Broadcom's semiconductor and data center environments, experience with cleanroom electrical infrastructure or critical power systems is a meaningful differentiator. A degree in electrical engineering or a related field strengthens both your application and any visa petition.
How do I time my visa application around a Broadcom job offer?
If you're pursuing an H-1B, Broadcom must submit your registration during the USCIS lottery window in March for an October 1 start date. That means securing your offer and completing the LCA filing with the DOL well before the registration deadline. If you're on F-1 OPT, your 60-day grace period and any OPT extension timeline should factor into when you formally accept an offer and request that Broadcom begin the petition process.
