Align your PM portfolio to Broadcom's product lines
Broadcom's PM roles span semiconductor solutions, VMware infrastructure, and cybersecurity software. Tailor your portfolio to show experience in at least one of these domains. Generic PM experience gets filtered out early in their hiring process.
Confirm your visa category before applying
Broadcom sponsors H-1B, TN, and F-1 OPT candidates for PM roles, but each category has different timing constraints. If your OPT expires within six months of your target start date, identify that gap before your first recruiter call so you can address it proactively.
Request sponsorship confirmation during the offer stage
Ask the recruiter explicitly which visa categories Broadcom will support for your specific role and location. Large technology companies sometimes distinguish sponsorship eligibility by business unit, so get written confirmation before signing anything.
Understand how PERM timelines affect your green card path
Broadcom sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 green cards for PM roles, but PERM labor certification can take 12 to 18 months before USCIS even receives your I-140. Factor that into your long-term planning if you're on an H-1B with limited extensions remaining.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open PM roles by sponsorship type
Broadcom posts PM openings across multiple business units simultaneously, and not every listing signals sponsorship the same way. Use Migrate Mate to filter roles by the visa categories Broadcom supports so you're only pursuing positions that match your authorization status.
Demonstrate cross-functional leadership in technical interviews
Broadcom's PM interview process emphasizes working across engineering, sales, and legal in hardware and software environments. Frame past examples around stakeholder alignment in regulated or compliance-heavy contexts, which maps directly to how their product teams operate.

Find Product Manager at Broadcom JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Broadcom sponsor H-1B visas for Product Managers?
Yes, Broadcom sponsors H-1B visas for Product Manager roles. The company has an established process for filing H-1B petitions through USCIS, including both cap-subject registrations for new applicants and cap-exempt transfers for candidates already holding H-1B status with another employer. Confirm sponsorship eligibility for your specific business unit during the offer stage, as practices can vary across Broadcom's semiconductor and software divisions.
How do I apply for Product Manager jobs at Broadcom?
Apply directly through Broadcom's careers portal, where PM roles are posted by business unit and location. Filter by product line (semiconductor, VMware, cybersecurity) to find roles that match your background. Migrate Mate also lists Broadcom's open PM positions filtered by visa sponsorship type, which helps you identify which specific roles are realistic given your current authorization status before you invest time in a full application.
Which visa types does Broadcom commonly use for Product Manager roles?
Broadcom sponsors H-1B, TN, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and permanent residence pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 for Product Manager positions. H-1B is the most common long-term work visa for this role. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals whose PM work qualifies under USMCA. F-1 OPT and CPT are available for students and recent graduates earlier in the pipeline.
What qualifications does Broadcom expect for Product Manager roles?
Broadcom typically expects a bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field for PM roles, with an MBA viewed favorably for senior positions. Hands-on experience in semiconductor, enterprise software, or infrastructure products carries significant weight. Candidates who can demonstrate cross-functional ownership, work with global engineering teams, and engage with enterprise customers in regulated industries tend to advance further in the process.
How do I plan my timeline if I need H-1B sponsorship at Broadcom?
The H-1B cap registration window opens each March for an October 1 start date, so your offer and I-129 petition must be in place well before that deadline. If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm your OPT expiration date against Broadcom's expected onboarding timeline. USCIS premium processing reduces adjudication to 15 business days if timing is tight. Start conversations with Broadcom's recruiting team at least six months before your current work authorization expires.
