Align your credentials with Deloitte's delivery frameworks
Deloitte's DevOps Leads are expected to hold certifications in AWS, Azure, or GCP alongside hands-on Kubernetes and Terraform experience. Credentialing gaps in cloud-native tooling are a common reason offers stall before sponsorship discussions begin.
Target Deloitte's government and federal practice
Deloitte's federal consulting arm runs large DevOps engagements for U.S. agencies and actively recruits infrastructure leads. These roles often have longer project timelines, which makes employers more willing to invest in H-1B or E-3 sponsorship for strong candidates.
Search for sponsoring DevOps roles using Migrate Mate
Filter by Deloitte and DevOps Lead on Migrate Mate to surface open roles where sponsorship has been confirmed. This saves you from applying to postings where the hiring team hasn't committed to filing or where the role is already closed to sponsored candidates.
Position yourself for E-3 sponsorship if you're Australian
The E-3 visa has no lottery and a 10,500 annual cap that has never been exhausted. If you hold Australian citizenship, flag this directly with the Deloitte recruiter. It removes lottery risk and is typically faster to process than a cap-subject H-1B petition.
Prepare a specialty occupation narrative for your role
USCIS scrutinizes consulting firm H-1B petitions more than most. Work with Deloitte's immigration counsel to document that your DevOps Lead responsibilities require a specific bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related field, not just general IT experience.

Does Deloitte sponsor H-1B visas for Devops Leads?
Yes, Deloitte sponsors H-1B visas for DevOps Lead roles. The firm has a dedicated immigration team that manages petition filings, including cap-subject H-1B registrations in the annual lottery and cap-exempt transfers for candidates already holding H-1B status with a qualifying employer. Sponsorship is typically confirmed during the offer stage, not after signing.
Which visa types does Deloitte commonly sponsor for Devops Lead roles?
Deloitte sponsors H-1B, H-1B1, and E-3 visas for DevOps Lead positions, as well as employment-based Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3. H-1B is the most common path for non-Australian candidates. Australians qualify for the E-3, which bypasses the lottery entirely. Green Card sponsorship through PERM labor certification is available for longer-tenured employees in qualifying roles.
How do I apply for Devops Lead jobs at Deloitte?
You can browse current DevOps Lead openings at Deloitte that offer visa sponsorship through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by sponsorship type so you know upfront which positions are open to sponsored candidates. Apply directly through Deloitte's careers portal once you've identified the right role. Tailor your application to the specific practice area, whether commercial, government, or technology consulting, since hiring teams and sponsorship workflows differ by business unit.
What qualifications and experience does Deloitte expect for a Devops Lead?
Deloitte's DevOps Lead roles typically require a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a closely related field, along with several years of hands-on experience leading CI/CD pipeline design, infrastructure-as-code implementation, and cloud platform operations. Certifications in AWS, Azure, or GCP strengthen your profile. For sponsored roles, your degree field must align with the job duties to satisfy USCIS specialty occupation requirements.
How do I estimate the timeline from offer to start date when Deloitte sponsors my visa?
For an H-1B transfer or cap-exempt petition, Deloitte's immigration team can file immediately and standard USCIS processing runs roughly three to five months, with premium processing available to compress that to around two to three weeks. For cap-subject H-1B registrations, you'd wait for the March lottery and an October 1 start date at the earliest. E-3 consular processing in Australia generally runs two to four weeks from interview booking to visa issuance.
