Frame Your Clearance Eligibility Early
Many Deloitte Network Security Engineer roles support federal clients requiring security clearance eligibility. Confirm your current status and any restrictions before applying, since some positions require U.S. person status that visa holders cannot satisfy.
Target Deloitte's Cyber Practice Over IT Operations
Deloitte's Government and Public Sector and Cyber Risk practices sponsor more frequently than internal IT operations. Roles tied to client-facing cyber consulting, threat intelligence, or SIEM implementation have stronger sponsorship precedent than infrastructure support positions.
Build Credentials Around NIST and Zero Trust Frameworks
Deloitte's consulting engagements heavily reference NIST CSF, CMMC, and zero trust architecture. Certifications like CISSP, CCSP, or CompTIA Security+ paired with documented framework experience strengthen your specialty occupation case for H-1B or E-3 petitions.
Understand How Deloitte Structures Your LCA
Deloitte files Labor Condition Applications listing a prevailing wage tied to the work location, not the home office. If your role involves client sites across multiple states, confirm with your recruiter how the LCA covers multi-location assignments before your offer letter is finalized.
Use Migrate Mate to Filter Verified Sponsorship Openings
Not all Network Security Engineer postings at Deloitte explicitly state visa sponsorship. Use Migrate Mate to browse roles confirmed against DOL disclosure data, so you apply only to positions with an active sponsorship history for your visa category.
Ask About Timing Relative to the H-1B Cap
If you need cap-subject H-1B sponsorship, Deloitte must register you in the USCIS lottery by mid-March for an October 1 start date. Confirm your timeline with the recruiter so your offer isn't conditional on a lottery outcome that hasn't happened yet.

Find Network Security Engineer at Deloitte JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Deloitte sponsor H-1B visas for Network Security Engineers?
Yes, Deloitte sponsors H-1B visas for Network Security Engineers, particularly within its Cyber Risk and Government and Public Sector practices. Sponsorship is typically tied to client-facing consulting roles where a specific degree in computer science, information security, or a related field is a genuine requirement. Internal IT support roles at Deloitte are less consistently sponsored, so the practice area matters.
How do I apply for Network Security Engineer jobs at Deloitte?
Applications go through Deloitte's careers portal at deloitte.com/careers. Search by role title and filter by practice area, since Cyber Risk and Technology Consulting listings are more likely to include sponsorship. Migrate Mate surfaces Deloitte Network Security Engineer openings filtered for visa sponsorship eligibility, which helps you prioritize applications before going directly to Deloitte's portal to submit.
Which visa types does Deloitte commonly use for Network Security Engineers?
Deloitte sponsors H-1B visas for the broadest range of candidates, and H-1B1 visas for Chilean and Singaporean nationals. Australian citizens are eligible for the E-3 visa, which Deloitte also supports. For longer-term pathways, Deloitte initiates PERM labor certification and sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards for Network Security Engineers who have been with the firm. The right category depends on your nationality and career stage.
What qualifications does Deloitte expect for Network Security Engineer roles?
Deloitte's Network Security Engineer postings in its consulting practices typically require a bachelor's degree in computer science, cybersecurity, information systems, or a closely related field. Hands-on experience with tools like Palo Alto, Splunk, CrowdStrike, or Zscaler is commonly listed. Industry certifications such as CISSP, CCNP Security, or CompTIA Security+ strengthen your application and support the specialty occupation determination USCIS requires for visa sponsorship.
How long does the sponsorship process take at Deloitte for this role?
For a cap-subject H-1B, the timeline starts with the March lottery registration, with employment beginning no earlier than October 1 if selected. USCIS standard processing runs three to five months after filing, while premium processing reduces adjudication to roughly 15 business days. E-3 applicants who apply at a U.S. consulate typically move faster, often completing the process in four to eight weeks from offer acceptance to visa issuance.
