CalAIM is an initiative of the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) to improve the quality of life and health outcomes of Medi-Cal recipients by implementing delivery system, program, and payment reforms across the Medi-Cal program. A key feature of CalAIM is the statewide introduction of an Enhanced Care Management (ECM) benefit and a menu of Community Supports, which, at the option of a Managed Care Plan (MCP), publicly funded health insurance plans for low-income citizens, can address the clinical and non-clinical needs of Populations of Focus with the most complex medical and social needs.
The Clinical Specialist supports HealthRIGHT 360’s ECM programs by providing clinical oversight, consultation, and guidance for complex member cases. This role ensures care is person-centered, evidence-based, and aligned with regulatory requirements while supporting care teams in coordinating behavioral health, physical health, and community-based services for high-need Medi-Cal members.

Align your credentials with California licensing requirements
HealthRIGHT 360 operates licensed clinical programs in California, so roles in counseling, nursing, and case management often require state-specific credentials. Confirm your F-1 OPT authorization covers your job title and that any required California licensure is in progress before applying.
Target behavioral health and harm reduction openings
HealthRIGHT 360 focuses heavily on substance use treatment and harm reduction services. OPT students with backgrounds in public health, social work, or psychology fit naturally into these teams. Search their careers page filtering for program-based roles rather than corporate or administrative tracks.
Confirm E-Verify enrollment before accepting an offer
STEM OPT extensions require your employer to be enrolled in E-Verify. Ask HealthRIGHT 360's HR team directly during the offer stage, not after you've signed. Your DSO needs written confirmation of E-Verify participation to process your 24-month extension application through USCIS.
Use Migrate Mate to research HealthRIGHT 360's H-1B history
If your goal is OPT-to-H-1B transition, check HealthRIGHT 360's filing history by occupation code on Migrate Mate before accepting an offer. Seeing which roles they've previously sponsored helps you assess whether your position has a realistic path to H-1B petitioning after OPT ends.
Document your specialty occupation alignment upfront
HealthRIGHT 360 roles vary widely in required qualifications. Before your OPT start date, gather documentation showing your degree directly relates to your job duties. This matters for STEM OPT and becomes critical if you later need H-1B sponsorship where USCIS will evaluate specialty occupation status.
Negotiate your start date around your EAD card arrival
OPT employment can't begin before your EAD card arrives and your program start date. Coordinate your USCIS EAD processing timeline with HealthRIGHT 360's onboarding window. Healthcare employers often have credentialing timelines that can absorb processing delays, but confirm this buffer exists during offer negotiation.
HealthRIGHT 360 OPT Eligibility: Frequently Asked Questions
Does HealthRIGHT 360 sponsor OPT visas?
HealthRIGHT 360 doesn't sponsor OPT directly since OPT is work authorization USCIS grants to F-1 students, not an employer-filed petition. What HealthRIGHT 360 does is hire students who already hold an OPT EAD. For STEM OPT extensions, the company must be enrolled in E-Verify, which you should confirm with HR before accepting an offer.
Which departments at HealthRIGHT 360 typically hire OPT students?
OPT students most often find placements in HealthRIGHT 360's behavioral health, harm reduction, and primary care programs. Roles in case management, health education, program coordination, and clinical support tend to align well with public health, social work, and pre-clinical degree backgrounds. Administrative and data-focused roles also appear in their postings.
How do I know if my OPT role at HealthRIGHT 360 qualifies for a STEM extension?
Your major must appear on the official STEM Designated Degree Program List, and your job duties must be directly related to that field. Cross-check your role against O*NET occupation profiles to document the connection. HealthRIGHT 360 must also be enrolled in E-Verify, which you confirm separately with their HR or compliance team before your OPT expires.
What is the timeline for transitioning from OPT to H-1B at HealthRIGHT 360?
H-1B visa registration opens in March each year for an October 1 start date. If you're on standard OPT, your employer needs to file before your EAD expires. STEM OPT gives you a longer runway. Use Migrate Mate to review HealthRIGHT 360's H-1B visa filing history by role so you can assess which positions have a realistic sponsorship path before committing to a track.
How do I approach the offer negotiation when asking about future H-1B sponsorship?
Raise H-1B sponsorship during the offer stage, not after you start. Ask HR directly whether HealthRIGHT 360 has sponsored H-1B for roles similar to yours and whether that support is tied to performance reviews or tenure thresholds. Getting a clear answer early prevents situations where OPT ends without a sponsorship commitment in place.
How does HealthRIGHT 360 hire OPT students?
OPT is work authorization granted directly to F-1 students after graduation — no employer petition is required. HealthRIGHT 360 can hire OPT students as soon as their EAD card is approved. STEM degree holders can extend OPT by 24 months when their employer is enrolled in E-Verify. Most companies that hire OPT students also support the transition to H-1B when the student's OPT period is ending. Check HealthRIGHT 360's individual postings on Migrate Mate to confirm OPT acceptance per role.
