Align your clinical credentials before applying
Ivyrehab operates across physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology. Verify your degree maps directly to the role you're targeting, because specialty occupation alignment is what makes the OPT-to-H-1B transition viable at a clinical employer like this one.
Confirm E-Verify enrollment before accepting STEM OPT roles
If your degree qualifies for the 24-month STEM OPT extension, your employer must be enrolled in E-Verify before your extension is approved. Ask Ivyrehab's HR team directly, since USCIS requires confirmed enrollment at the time you file your extension application.
Target roles matching your therapy licensure track
Rehabilitation employers hire to specific licensure pipelines. Physical therapist, occupational therapist, and speech-language pathologist roles each require distinct credentials. Apply to the role that matches your degree field so your OPT authorization and eventual H-1B petition stay consistent with your job duties.
Research prevailing wage rates before negotiating
Use the OFLC Wage Search to look up prevailing wages for your occupation code in Ivyrehab's service area. Knowing the wage tier before your offer conversation ensures your salary supports a compliant H-1B Labor Condition Application if the company moves forward with sponsorship later.
Use Migrate Mate to verify Ivyrehab's H-1B filing history
Migrate Mate surfaces DOL Labor Condition Application data by employer and occupation, so you can see which therapy roles Ivyrehab has filed for and whether your target position has a sponsorship track record before you apply.
Time your OPT start date around Ivyrehab's hiring cycle
You choose your OPT start date, and you can't change it once USCIS approves your EAD. Coordinate with your DSO to request a start date that aligns with Ivyrehab's onboarding windows, since clinical employers often hire on semester or quarter cycles tied to patient caseloads.
Ivyrehab Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy & Speech-Language Pathology, Pllc OPT Eligibility: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Ivyrehab Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy & Speech-Language Pathology, Pllc sponsor OPT visas?
Ivyrehab doesn't sponsor OPT directly. OPT is work authorization issued by USCIS to eligible F-1 students, not a visa petition filed by the employer. What Ivyrehab does is hire students who already hold an OPT EAD. Its H-1B filing history indicates it's open to supporting the longer-term sponsorship path for qualifying employees.
Which roles at Ivyrehab typically hire OPT students?
Ivyrehab's core hiring focuses on licensed and pre-licensure clinical roles across physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology. OPT students with degrees in these fields are the most direct fit. Administrative or operations roles may exist but are less likely to align with the specialty occupation definition needed for H-1B sponsorship later.
How do I start the OPT application process to work at Ivyrehab?
You apply for OPT through your school's DSO, not through Ivyrehab. Your DSO issues a new I-20 with an OPT recommendation, then you file Form I-765 with USCIS and wait for your EAD. Once approved, you present your EAD to Ivyrehab as your work authorization. USCIS recommends filing at least 90 days before your intended start date.
How long does it typically take to move from OPT to H-1B at a healthcare employer like Ivyrehab?
Standard OPT gives you 12 months of work authorization. If your degree qualifies for STEM OPT, you can extend by 24 months, giving you up to three years total. H-1B sponsorship requires your employer to file during the annual lottery window each March. Migrate Mate can help you identify whether Ivyrehab has filed H-1B petitions for roles matching your occupation.
What should I ask Ivyrehab's HR team before accepting an OPT job offer?
Ask whether the company is enrolled in E-Verify, which is required if you plan to use the STEM OPT extension. Also ask whether the company has previously sponsored H-1B visas for employees in your role, what the typical timeline looks like for that transition, and which attorney or filing service they use for immigration matters.
How does Ivyrehab Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy & Speech-Language Pathology, Pllc hire OPT students?
OPT is work authorization granted directly to F-1 students after graduation — no employer petition is required. Ivyrehab Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy & Speech-Language Pathology, Pllc can hire OPT students as soon as their EAD card is approved. STEM degree holders can extend OPT by 24 months when their employer is enrolled in E-Verify. Most companies that hire OPT students also support the transition to H-1B when the student's OPT period is ending. Check Ivyrehab Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy & Speech-Language Pathology, Pllc's individual postings on Migrate Mate to confirm OPT acceptance per role.
