Align your degree with clinical roles
Prime Healthcare Foundation-Southern Regional fills roles in nursing, health informatics, medical imaging, and healthcare administration. Match your transcript and OPT EAD authorization field to a specific department before applying, because a misaligned degree field is the fastest way to lose an offer.
Confirm E-Verify enrollment before accepting
STEM OPT extensions require your employer to be enrolled in E-Verify. Ask Prime Healthcare Foundation-Southern Regional's HR team directly during the offer stage, not after you've signed. A confirmed E-Verify status protects your 24-month extension eligibility from day one.
Time your OPT start date strategically
USCIS allows you to request an OPT start date up to 90 days before your program ends and up to 60 days after. Coordinate your requested start date with Prime Healthcare Foundation-Southern Regional's hiring cycle to avoid a gap between your EAD activation and your first day on the job.
Research prevailing wages before negotiating
Use the OFLC Wage Search to look up wage levels for your target role and location before your offer call. Healthcare employers set salaries partly based on DOL wage tiers, so knowing the Level I through Level IV ranges for your occupation gives you a grounded starting point.
Use Migrate Mate to identify H-1B transition potential
OPT is your entry point, but your goal is long-term authorization. Migrate Mate shows Prime Healthcare Foundation-Southern Regional's H-1B filing history by role and department, so you can verify which positions have a real sponsorship track record before committing to the company.
Document clinical hours for future PERM eligibility
If Prime Healthcare Foundation-Southern Regional moves you toward an EB-2 or EB-3 green card, PERM requires proving your qualifications meet the minimum requirements for the role. Keep detailed records of supervised hours, certifications, and performance reviews from your OPT period to support that future filing.
Prime Healthcare Foundation-Southern Regional OPT Eligibility: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Prime Healthcare Foundation-Southern Regional sponsor OPT visas?
Prime Healthcare Foundation-Southern Regional does not sponsor OPT directly. OPT is work authorization that USCIS grants to eligible F-1 students, not a petition the employer files. What Prime Healthcare Foundation-Southern Regional does is hire students who already hold an OPT EAD, and it has a documented history of sponsoring H-1B and EB-2/EB-3 visas for employees who perform well in their roles.
Which departments at Prime Healthcare Foundation-Southern Regional typically hire OPT students?
OPT students at Prime Healthcare Foundation-Southern Regional most commonly land in clinical operations, health informatics, medical imaging, and healthcare administration. These departments align with degree fields that carry strong STEM OPT extension eligibility, giving qualified candidates a longer runway before needing H-1B sponsorship.
How do I confirm Prime Healthcare Foundation-Southern Regional supports STEM OPT extensions?
Ask the HR or recruiting team directly whether the company is enrolled in E-Verify, which is a federal requirement for employers supporting STEM OPT extensions. Do this before you accept an offer. E-Verify enrollment is a binary yes or no, and getting confirmation in writing protects your ability to file the 24-month extension through your DSO.
How do I position myself for an H-1B sponsorship after my OPT at Prime Healthcare Foundation-Southern Regional?
Migrate Mate lets you review Prime Healthcare Foundation-Southern Regional's H-1B filing history by occupation and year, so you can identify which roles have a real sponsorship track record. Target those roles during your OPT period, document your performance thoroughly, and start conversations with your manager about sponsorship intentions before your OPT window closes.
What should I do if my OPT EAD has not arrived before my start date at Prime Healthcare Foundation-Southern Regional?
USCIS issues OPT EADs up to 90 days before your requested start date, but processing delays happen. Notify Prime Healthcare Foundation-Southern Regional's HR team immediately and request a deferred start date in writing. You cannot legally begin work without your physical EAD in hand, so do not accept a verbal workaround from any employer.
How does Prime Healthcare Foundation-Southern Regional hire OPT students?
OPT is work authorization granted directly to F-1 students after graduation — no employer petition is required. Prime Healthcare Foundation-Southern Regional can hire OPT students as soon as their EAD card is approved. STEM degree holders can extend OPT by 24 months when their employer is enrolled in E-Verify. Most companies that hire OPT students also support the transition to H-1B when the student's OPT period is ending. Check Prime Healthcare Foundation-Southern Regional's individual postings on Migrate Mate to confirm OPT acceptance per role.
