Frame Your Credentials Around Regulated Service
Freedom Mortgage operates in a federally regulated lending environment, so document any experience with compliance-sensitive customer interactions. Highlighting familiarity with RESPA disclosures or escrow inquiries signals you can handle the specific rigor mortgage servicing demands.
Target Roles That Align With OPT Timing
Freedom Mortgage hires for Customer Service across its servicing centers on a rolling basis. If you're on F-1 OPT, apply at least 90 days before your authorization end date to leave room for employer-side processing and any USCIS delays on an extension petition.
Understand How TN Status Fits Customer Service
TN classification for customer-facing roles in financial services typically requires the position to qualify under a listed USMCA profession. Confirm the specific job title and duties align with an eligible category before accepting an offer, since a mismatch creates filing complications.
Ask Recruiters About Their PERM Experience
Freedom Mortgage has filed PERM-based Green Card sponsorships for operational roles. When you reach the offer stage, ask directly whether the Customer Service function has a defined pathway to EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship and what the typical tenure requirement is before filing begins.
Prepare for E-Verify at the Offer Stage
As a federal mortgage servicer, Freedom Mortgage uses E-Verify for all new hires. Have your work authorization documents organized before your start date so the verification clears without delays that could affect your first-day status.
Use Migrate Mate to Surface Active Openings
Freedom Mortgage posts Customer Service roles across multiple servicing locations and the listings cycle quickly. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Freedom Mortgage positions that match your visa type so you're applying to openings before sponsorship slots fill.

Find Customer Service at Freedom Mortgage JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Freedom Mortgage sponsor H-1B visas for Customer Service?
Freedom Mortgage's Customer Service roles do not commonly support H-1B sponsorship, since H-1B requires a specialty occupation typically tied to a specific academic field, and most customer service positions don't meet that threshold. Freedom Mortgage's sponsorship activity in this function is concentrated around EB-2, EB-3 Green Card pathways, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN visas for eligible Canadian and Mexican nationals.
How do I apply for Customer Service jobs at Freedom Mortgage?
Applications go through Freedom Mortgage's careers portal, where you can filter by department and location. Roles are posted on a rolling basis and often tied to their servicing centers. Migrate Mate lets you browse current Freedom Mortgage Customer Service openings filtered by visa type, so you can identify which listings are realistically accessible before investing time in a full application.
Which visa types does Freedom Mortgage commonly use for Customer Service roles?
Freedom Mortgage's sponsorship activity in Customer Service spans F-1 OPT and CPT for recent graduates, TN status for qualified Canadian and Mexican nationals working in eligible professional categories, and permanent residence through EB-2 and EB-3 PERM filings for longer-tenured employees. The mix reflects a preference for candidates who are already authorized to work and may transition to permanent sponsorship after demonstrating performance.
What qualifications does Freedom Mortgage look for in Customer Service candidates?
Freedom Mortgage prioritizes candidates with direct experience in financial services or mortgage servicing, since their Customer Service teams handle escrow, loan status, and payment inquiries requiring regulatory awareness. Familiarity with call center environments, proficiency in CRM platforms, and comfort explaining complex financial information to borrowers under stress all differentiate applicants. A bachelor's degree is not always required, but relevant experience in banking or lending carries significant weight.
How do I time my application around visa sponsorship availability?
If you're on F-1 OPT, apply with enough lead time for Freedom Mortgage's internal approval process and any USCIS processing on a potential OPT extension. For TN status, processing can be completed at a port of entry or through USCIS, which affects how quickly you can start. For EB-2 or EB-3 PERM sponsorship, expect that most employers, including Freedom Mortgage, initiate those filings after a period of full-time employment rather than at the point of hire.
