Job Roles at Magna Electronics
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Magna Electronics Green Card Visa Sponsorship Jobs USA
Target Engineering and Technical Roles
Magna Electronics concentrates Green Card sponsorship on engineering and technical positions within automotive systems. Roles in electrical engineering, software development, and systems integration are where sponsorship activity is strongest, so align your applications accordingly.
Start the Conversation Before You Accept an Offer
Green Card sponsorship at large automotive suppliers like Magna Electronics is negotiated during the offer stage. Confirming sponsorship intent before signing gives you leverage and avoids ambiguity once you've already joined the team.
Use Migrate Mate to Verify Sponsorship History
Not every role at Magna Electronics will include Green Card sponsorship. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history and identify which departments and job titles have a track record of Green Card filings.
Highlight Automotive Domain Expertise
Magna Electronics values deep industry knowledge in areas like ADAS, embedded systems, and vehicle electrification. Demonstrating specialized automotive expertise in your application strengthens the case that your role qualifies as a specialty occupation under PERM requirements.
Build a Relationship With the Immigration Team Early
Large automotive suppliers typically have dedicated immigration coordinators or outside counsel managing Green Card filings. Introduce yourself to that contact early in your tenure so PERM labor certification and I-140 timelines are on their radar from the start.

Get Access To All JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Magna Electronics sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, Magna Electronics sponsors Green Card visas for qualified employees. The company files under both EB-2 and EB-3 preference categories, primarily for engineering, software, and technical roles within its automotive electronics operations. Sponsorship is generally reserved for positions where the company has a demonstrated need and cannot find qualified U.S. workers through the PERM labor certification process.
Which roles and departments at Magna Electronics are most likely to receive Green Card sponsorship?
Green Card sponsorship at Magna Electronics tends to concentrate in engineering and technology functions, including electrical engineering, embedded software development, systems engineering, and advanced driver assistance systems. Research and development roles and positions requiring specialized automotive domain knowledge are among the most frequently sponsored, reflecting the company's focus on high-skill technical talent in the automotive sector.
How do I navigate the Green Card application process at Magna Electronics?
The process typically starts with PERM labor certification, where Magna Electronics must advertise the role and demonstrate no qualified U.S. workers are available. Once PERM is approved, the company files an I-140 immigrant petition on your behalf. After approval, you either adjust status domestically or go through consular processing abroad. Magna Electronics generally coordinates this through in-house immigration staff or outside counsel.
How long does the Green Card process take at Magna Electronics?
Timeline depends heavily on your country of birth and the EB preference category. For most nationalities under EB-2 or EB-3, PERM and I-140 together can take one to two years before a visa number becomes available. Applicants born in India or China face significantly longer waits due to per-country backlogs. Starting the process as early as possible in your employment is strongly recommended.
How do I find open Green Card sponsorship jobs at Magna Electronics?
Magna Electronics posts open roles through its careers portal, but not all listings explicitly state Green Card sponsorship availability. Migrate Mate tracks verified Green Card sponsors and surfaces roles at companies like Magna Electronics that have an active filing history, making it easier to identify positions where sponsorship is a realistic part of the offer rather than something you have to negotiate blindly.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at Magna Electronics?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
