Target engineering and technical roles first
Dana's sponsorship activity is concentrated in engineering, manufacturing, and technical disciplines tied to drivetrain and sealing systems. Focus your applications on roles that align with these core business areas, where visa sponsorship is most consistently offered.
Understand which visa types Dana supports
Dana sponsors H-1B, Green Card, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN visas. If you're on OPT or CPT, highlight your authorization clearly in your application, Dana has demonstrated willingness to bring early-career international talent through multiple sponsorship pathways.
Time your application around H-1B cap season
If you need H-1B sponsorship, begin outreach to Dana's recruitment team well before April. Employers need time to evaluate candidates, prepare petitions, and meet the registration deadline, starting conversations in January or February gives you the best chance.
Emphasize specialized automotive or mechanical expertise
Dana operates in a highly specialized segment of automotive supply. Candidates who can speak directly to drivetrain systems, sealing technology, or advanced manufacturing processes stand out, relevant technical depth signals you're a strong fit for sponsored roles.
Use verified sponsorship data to prioritize your job search
Not every job posting mentions visa sponsorship upfront. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you focus your energy on Dana openings where international hiring is genuinely on the table.
Consider TN visa eligibility if you're Canadian or Mexican
Dana sponsors TN visas, which is a significant advantage for Canadian and Mexican professionals in qualifying occupations like engineering. TN status doesn't require lottery selection and can be obtained more quickly than an H-1B, making Dana a particularly attractive option.
