Job Roles at Plaid
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Plaid Green Card Visa Sponsorship Jobs USA
Target roles in Plaid's core engineering teams
Plaid's Green Card sponsorships cluster around software engineering, data infrastructure, and security roles. Focusing your application on these technical tracks gives you the best chance of landing a position where Green Card sponsorship is a standard part of the offer.
Confirm sponsorship intent before accepting an offer
Not every Plaid role includes Green Card sponsorship by default. Ask your recruiter directly whether the position supports permanent residence filings, and get that commitment documented before signing. This avoids surprises after you've already started.
Understand Plaid's PERM labor certification process
Green Card sponsorship at a Technology and Software company like Plaid typically begins with PERM, which requires proving no qualified U.S. workers are available for your role. This process takes time, so starting the conversation with HR early is essential.
Use Migrate Mate to find verified Green Card sponsoring roles
Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history. Searching Plaid specifically lets you identify which open roles have an active Green Card sponsorship track record before you spend time applying.
Build tenure before your Green Card process begins
Companies in the Technology and Software sector, including Plaid, typically initiate Green Card filings after an employee demonstrates consistent performance. Arriving with a strong internal track record positions you well when the conversation about permanent residence begins.
Work with Plaid's immigration legal team proactively
Plaid retains outside immigration counsel to manage Green Card cases. Engaging that team early, asking questions, and staying responsive to document requests keeps your case moving and reduces delays during the PERM and I-140 petition stages.

Does Plaid sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, Plaid sponsors Green Card visas for eligible employees. The company files under EB-2 and EB-3 categories, primarily for technical and specialized roles. Sponsorship is generally initiated after a period of employment, and Plaid works with immigration attorneys to manage the process on behalf of sponsored employees.
Which roles at Plaid are most likely to receive Green Card sponsorship?
Green Card sponsorship at Plaid is most common in software engineering, data science, machine learning, and security engineering. Product and technical program management roles also receive sponsorship in some cases. Roles with highly specialized skill requirements are strongest candidates, as the PERM process requires demonstrating that the position cannot easily be filled by a U.S. worker.
How do I start the Green Card process at Plaid?
The process typically starts by raising the topic with your manager and HR business partner once you've established yourself in your role. Plaid's immigration team will then work with outside counsel to begin PERM labor certification, followed by the I-140 immigrant petition. Starting this conversation early matters, since the full process can take several years.
How long does Green Card sponsorship take at Plaid?
The timeline depends on your visa category and country of birth. For most nationalities, the EB-2 or EB-3 process, including PERM and I-140 approval, takes two to four years before a Green Card is issued. Applicants born in India or China face significantly longer waits due to per-country backlogs that can extend the process by many additional years.
How do I find open Green Card sponsorship jobs at Plaid?
Migrate Mate is a reliable starting point, as it filters job listings by verified sponsorship history so you can identify Plaid roles with an active Green Card track record. From there, apply directly through Plaid's careers page and ask your recruiter explicitly whether the specific role includes Green Card sponsorship, since availability can vary by team and position.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at Plaid?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
