Job Roles at Graphic Packaging International
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Graphic Packaging International H-1B Visa Sponsorship Jobs USA
Target engineering and technical roles first
Graphic Packaging International's H-1B sponsorship is concentrated in technical and engineering functions tied to its manufacturing operations. Focus your search on roles in process engineering, mechanical engineering, and operations where specialty occupation requirements are easiest to demonstrate.
Understand the specialty occupation standard
H-1B eligibility at a manufacturing company like Graphic Packaging requires your role to demand a specific bachelor's degree. Before applying, confirm the job description explicitly requires a degree in your field, not just any bachelor's degree.
Engage early in the recruitment process
H-1B sponsorship decisions at manufacturing companies are often made during offer negotiations, not upfront. Raise your visa status early in conversations so the hiring team can align with HR on sponsorship feasibility before extending an offer.
Use Migrate Mate to verify sponsorship history
Not every open role at Graphic Packaging International will come with a sponsorship guarantee. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history and focus your applications on companies with a track record of following through.
Align your background with core manufacturing functions
Graphic Packaging International is a packaging and manufacturing business, so candidates with experience in packaging engineering, supply chain, quality assurance, or materials science are better positioned to receive H-1B sponsorship than generalists without industry-specific credentials.
Plan around the H-1B cap and lottery timeline
If you're not currently in H-1B status, sponsorship at Graphic Packaging International means entering the annual lottery in March for an October start date. Discuss this timeline with your recruiter so both sides understand the constraints before proceeding.

Does Graphic Packaging International sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Graphic Packaging International sponsors H-1B visas. The company operates in the manufacturing sector and has sponsored H-1B petitions for roles requiring specialized technical and engineering expertise. Sponsorship is selective, so candidates in roles that clearly meet the specialty occupation standard are the strongest fits.
Which roles and departments at Graphic Packaging International are most likely to receive H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B sponsorship at Graphic Packaging International is most common in engineering and technical departments, including process engineering, mechanical engineering, packaging design, and quality assurance. Corporate functions such as finance, IT, and supply chain may also qualify depending on the specific role and degree requirements listed in the job description.
How do I apply for a job with H-1B sponsorship at Graphic Packaging International?
Apply through Graphic Packaging International's careers page and disclose your visa status during the application or early in the interview process. Once you receive a conditional offer, the company's HR team coordinates with immigration counsel to file the H-1B petition. Migrate Mate can help you identify open roles at verified H-1B sponsors like Graphic Packaging International before you apply.
How long does the H-1B sponsorship process take at Graphic Packaging International?
If you're subject to the H-1B cap, the process runs on a fixed government timeline: registration opens in March, the lottery runs shortly after, and approved petitions have an October 1 start date. From registration to start date, that's roughly six months. Cap-exempt candidates or those transferring an existing H-1B can expect a shorter timeline, typically a few weeks to a few months depending on whether premium processing is used.
What can I do to strengthen my H-1B sponsorship application at Graphic Packaging International?
Focus on roles where your degree field directly matches the position requirements. Manufacturing companies scrutinize specialty occupation eligibility closely, so a clear connection between your academic background and the job's technical demands strengthens the petition. Raise sponsorship needs early with the recruiter so HR can confirm feasibility before you reach the offer stage.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B jobs at Graphic Packaging International?
H-1B employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is determined when they file the Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, and ensures international hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
