SUMMARY
Headquartered in sunny Los Angeles, GrayMatter Robotics is a well-capitalized AI robotics startup serving the manufacturing industry. We empower shop floor workers with our smart robots that assist with tedious and ergonomically challenging tasks, specifically in automated surface finishing. Our proprietary GMR-AI™ software is integrated with state-of-the-art industrial robots, sensors, and tools to create application-specific turnkey solutions for customers through a Robot-as-a-Service (RaaS) model.
We help manufacturers improve the quality of life for their workforce while increasing production capacity, and reducing scrap, repair, and rework costs. As a Senior Design Engineer, you will join our Design & Mechatronics team onsite in our Carson, CA office to explore, develop and test novel systems in house for implementation in the field.

Does GrayMatter Robotics sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, GrayMatter Robotics sponsors H-1B visas. The company focuses its sponsorship on specialized technical roles in robotics, AI, and software development where candidates require specific academic and professional qualifications. If you're targeting a highly technical position and hold a relevant degree, GrayMatter Robotics is a realistic H-1B sponsorship opportunity worth pursuing.
Which roles at GrayMatter Robotics are most likely to receive H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B sponsorship at GrayMatter Robotics is concentrated in engineering and research functions, including robotics software engineers, machine learning engineers, computer vision researchers, and mechanical engineers specializing in automation. These roles involve specialized knowledge that satisfies USCIS specialty occupation requirements, making them strong candidates for H-1B petition approval.
How do I navigate the H-1B application process at GrayMatter Robotics?
Once GrayMatter Robotics extends a job offer and confirms sponsorship, the company's immigration counsel files a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor, then submits the H-1B petition to USCIS. Your role is to provide accurate employment history, degree credentials, and any prior visa documentation promptly. The process is employer-driven, so your main job is responsiveness and documentation accuracy.
How long does the H-1B sponsorship process take at GrayMatter Robotics?
The standard H-1B timeline runs from cap registration in March through an October 1 start date, meaning the process spans roughly six to seven months from petition filing to approved status. If GrayMatter Robotics opts for premium processing, USCIS adjudicates the petition within 15 business days of receipt. Factor this timeline into your job search so your offer aligns with the annual H-1B cycle.
How do I find open H-1B positions at GrayMatter Robotics?
GrayMatter Robotics posts openings on its careers page, but verifying which roles come with genuine H-1B sponsorship can take additional research. Migrate Mate aggregates verified H-1B sponsor listings, so you can confirm GrayMatter Robotics's sponsorship history and browse current openings without manually cross-referencing government filings. Focus your applications on roles matching your exact degree field to maximize approval odds.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B jobs at GrayMatter Robotics?
H-1B employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is determined when they file the Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, and ensures international hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
