Role: Director – GenAI Transformation Programs

Role Overview
The Director – GenAI Transformation will be responsible for the successful delivery, strategic alignment, and commercial growth of large-scale Generative AI engagements. This role serves as the primary interface between the client’s executive leadership and the delivery organization, ensuring that GenAI solutions drive measurable business outcomes while maintaining delivery excellence. The Engagement Lead owns the end-to-end engagement lifecycle, including client relationship management, solution governance, value realization, and identification of expansion opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Client Relationship & Executive Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary trusted advisor to client executives and senior stakeholders.
- Establish and run Steering Committees and Executive Governance forums.
- Ensure alignment between client business priorities and program outcomes.
- Proactively manage client expectations and engagement health.
2. Engagement Strategy & Solution Oversight
- Define the overall engagement strategy and roadmap for GenAI implementation.
- Guide the translation of business objectives into AI-enabled solutions.
- Ensure the right balance between business value, technical feasibility, and scalability.
- Provide strategic oversight across the Business, AI, and Engineering workstreams.
- Validate that proposed solutions align with enterprise architecture and client operating models.
3. Program Governance & Delivery Oversight
- Establish governance frameworks for program execution, risk management, and escalation management.
- Work closely with the Program Manager and Offshore Delivery Head to monitor program health.
- Ensure:
- Delivery timelines are met
- Scope is managed effectively
- Program risks are mitigated early
- Lead resolution of complex delivery issues or escalations.
4. Commercial Ownership
- Own the financial performance of the engagement including revenue, margin, and scope management.
- Identify new business opportunities within the client account.
5. Cross-Functional Leadership
- Lead collaboration across multiple teams including:
- Domain experts
- Data scientists
- AI architects
- Engineering teams
- Change management teams
- Ensure alignment between business strategy and technical implementation.
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and delivery excellence.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field
- MBA or advanced degree preferred
Experience
- 15+ years in consulting, digital transformation, or technology services
- 5+ years leading large-scale AI / data / digital transformation programs
- Experience managing multi-million-dollar client engagements
- Proven track record in stakeholder management at CXO level
Technical & Domain Exposure
Strong understanding of:
- Enterprise software delivery models
- Generative AI applications
