This is a full-time, 12-month, exempt position that reports to the Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs and is located at the Quincy Campus in Quincy, Illinois with some travel across all JWCC locations and service district.

John Wood Community College is seeking an experienced and student-focused leader to serve as the Dean of Student Affairs. The Dean of Student Affairs serves as the College's chief student services officer and provides strategic leadership, direction, and oversight for a comprehensive portfolio of student affairs and enrollment services. This position is responsible for the overall operation, personnel supervision, and budget management of assigned areas.
The Dean ensures the delivery of effective and accessible, student-centered services that support recruitment, engagement, retention, and completion. Serving as the primary student advocate, this role leads institutional efforts to meet the evolving academic and social needs of the student body while advancing the mission of John Wood Community College. This position also serves as the College's Title IX Coordinator and Student Conduct Officer.

Title IX Officer / Co-Curricular Assessment
- Coordinate the assessment, tracking, and evaluation of co-curricular programs and student learning outcomes to ensure compliance with Higher Learning Commission (HLC) accreditation standards.
- Serve as the College's Title IX Coordinator, ensuring institutional compliance with all applicable federal, state, and Illinois Community College Board (ICCB) regulations.
- Oversee the development, implementation, and monitoring of Title IX policies, procedures, training, and response protocols.
- Ensure prompt, equitable, and compliant handling of Title IX reports, investigations, and resolutions.
- In the role of Chief Student Conduct Officer, collaborate with the Behavioral Intervention Team (BIT) Lead to coordinate responses to student behavioral concerns and ensure adherence to the Student Code of Conduct.
- Promote campus-wide awareness, prevention education, and training related to Title IX and student conduct expectations.
