Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Cloud Engineer Jobs at Lambda Jobs
Align your credentials to Lambda's GPU infrastructure stack
Lambda's Cloud Engineer roles center on NVIDIA GPU clusters, Kubernetes, and bare-metal provisioning. Before applying, document hands-on experience with these specifically in your resume rather than listing generic cloud platforms.
Target Lambda's roles during active headcount cycles
Lambda lists Cloud Engineer openings in concentrated bursts tied to infrastructure expansion. Monitoring their careers page weekly and applying within the first few days of a posting significantly increases your chances of early-stage review.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Lambda's live Cloud Engineer postings
Sorting job boards manually for sponsor-confirmed roles wastes time. Migrate Mate surfaces Lambda's Cloud Engineer openings with sponsorship context already filtered in, so you can apply directly to roles where your visa type is supported.
Prepare DOL prevailing wage documentation proactively
For H-1B filings, Lambda's HR team will need to submit a Labor Condition Application with the DOL confirming your offered wage meets the prevailing rate for your location and role level. Knowing the wage tier for Cloud Engineers in your target city helps you negotiate effectively.
Leverage TN status if you hold Canadian or Mexican citizenship
Cloud Engineer roles at Lambda can qualify under the TN Computer Systems Analyst category for Canadian and Mexican nationals. TN status doesn't require lottery entry and can be obtained at a port of entry, making it a faster path than waiting for H-1B selection.

Find Cloud Engineer at Lambda JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Lambda sponsor H-1B visas for Cloud Engineers?
Yes, Lambda sponsors H-1B visas for Cloud Engineer roles. Sponsorship is tied to specific open positions rather than offered as a blanket policy, so you'll need an active job offer before the process begins. Lambda's HR team handles the Labor Condition Application filing with the DOL and the subsequent I-129 petition with USCIS on your behalf.
How do I apply for Cloud Engineer jobs at Lambda?
Apply directly through Lambda's careers page, or use Migrate Mate to browse their current Cloud Engineer openings filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility. Lambda's technical interviews for this function typically involve infrastructure design scenarios, GPU cluster configuration, and distributed systems troubleshooting, so prepare for hands-on problem-solving rounds rather than purely algorithmic questions.
Which visa types are commonly used for Cloud Engineer roles at Lambda?
Lambda sponsors H-1B visas for Cloud Engineers and supports F-1 OPT candidates, including the 24-month STEM OPT extension available to graduates in computer science and engineering fields. Canadian and Mexican nationals may also qualify for TN status under the Computer Systems Analyst category, which bypasses the H-1B lottery entirely and can be activated at a port of entry.
What qualifications and experience does Lambda expect for Cloud Engineer roles?
Lambda's Cloud Engineer positions are infrastructure-heavy, with a strong emphasis on GPU cluster management, Kubernetes orchestration, and large-scale network architecture. Hands-on experience deploying and maintaining bare-metal and virtualized environments is prioritized over certifications alone. Familiarity with NVIDIA hardware ecosystems and AI/ML workload infrastructure puts candidates at a clear advantage given Lambda's core business in the electronics and hardware space.
How do I plan my timeline when pursuing a Cloud Engineer role at Lambda on a work visa?
If you're on F-1 OPT, the critical window is ensuring Lambda can file your H-1B petition before your OPT authorization expires. USCIS opens H-1B registration in March each year, with the earliest possible employment start date of October 1. Building in a buffer of several months between your offer acceptance and OPT expiration gives Lambda's legal team time to prepare and file your petition without gaps in your work authorization.
