Position Summary
The Sr Sales Manager is responsible for the successful leadership, development, and performance of a team of mortgage loan originators in a high-volume call center environment. In addition to all traditional Sales Manager duties, the Senior Sales Manager serves as a strategic thought leader, contributing to organizational improvement, cross-functional collaboration, and broader company initiatives.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Coaching
- Manage loan originator performance, motivation, scheduling, training, and policy adherence.
- Conduct advanced coaching sessions, call reviews, and skill development workshops.
- Set clear expectations around sales activities, client engagement, and conversion standards.
- Drive a high-performance culture rooted in accountability, ethics, and excellence.
Pipeline Management & Production
- Review team and personal pipelines daily/weekly to ensure production targets are met.
- Maintain personal loan production as assigned.
- Ensure accurate forecasting, disciplined follow-up, and strong file quality.
Compliance & Quality Control
- Ensure all loan presentations, terms, and rates align with Newrez and regulatory guidelines.
- Maintain full adherence to Newrez Code of Conduct.
- Conduct periodic compliance audits and reinforce best practices.
Customer Experience Management
- Resolve escalated customer concerns quickly and professionally.
- Coach loan originators on communication standards and expectation-setting.
Recruitment & Talent Development
- Recruit, interview, and select high-quality mortgage loan originators.
- Mentor developing talent and support succession planning.
- Deliver structured onboarding and training sessions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Operations to ensure production flow, quality, and efficiency.
- Work with Regional leadership to support team and center-wide objectives.
- Participate in corporate working groups and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- 6-8 years Loan Consultant experience.
- Minimum 5 years in the mortgage industry.
- Minimum 6 months in a Newrez management or senior leadership role.
- Proven success mentoring, coaching, and elevating Mortgage Consultants.
- Experience in call-center or high-volume phone/internet sales environments.
