Tailor your resume to NVIDIA's QA stack
NVIDIA's QA roles consistently require experience with GPU driver validation, CUDA testing frameworks, or hardware-in-the-loop test automation. Align your resume to those specifics before applying. Generic software QA experience without hardware or systems context is less competitive here.
Research NVIDIA's internal visa filing timeline
NVIDIA typically initiates H-1B cap filings in March for an October 1 start. If you're on OPT, confirm your employer relationship starts early enough to allow the I-129 to be filed within that window, accounting for your OPT expiration and the 60-day grace period.
Verify your Australian citizenship before pursuing the E-3
If you hold Australian citizenship, the E-3 is often faster than the H-1B because it bypasses the lottery. NVIDIA has sponsored E-3 visas for engineering functions. Confirm your passport status early, as the E-3 requires a current Australian passport at the consulate interview.
Build targeted lists using DOL disclosure data
DOL's OFLC disclosure database publishes Labor Condition Application filings by employer and job title. Searching for NVIDIA's QA-related LCA filings shows which job titles and work locations they've historically used, helping you target roles that align with their actual sponsorship patterns.
Browse NVIDIA's open QA roles on Migrate Mate
Filter for Software QA Engineer positions at NVIDIA on Migrate Mate to surface only roles where visa sponsorship is confirmed. This avoids wasting applications on postings where sponsorship status is ambiguous or unlisted.
Clarify Green Card intent during the offer stage
NVIDIA sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards for engineering roles. During the offer or negotiation stage, ask directly whether PERM-based sponsorship is part of the employment package for your role level. The PERM process typically begins after one year of employment.

Find Software QA Engineer at NVIDIA JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does NVIDIA sponsor H-1B visas for Software QA Engineers?
Yes, NVIDIA sponsors H-1B visas for Software QA Engineers. NVIDIA is a well-established H-1B sponsor with a consistent filing history for engineering and technical roles. If you're subject to the annual cap, your employer will need to submit your registration during the March lottery window for an October 1 start date.
Which visa types does NVIDIA use for Software QA Engineer roles?
NVIDIA sponsors H-1B and E-3 visas for Software QA Engineers, along with EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways for permanent residence. Australian citizens are eligible for the E-3, which bypasses the H-1B lottery. Permanent residence sponsorship through PERM is available for qualifying engineering roles after an initial period of employment.
What qualifications does NVIDIA expect for Software QA Engineer roles?
NVIDIA's Software QA Engineer roles typically require a bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field. Practical experience with test automation frameworks, GPU or driver-level testing, and scripting languages such as Python or C++ is commonly expected. Roles focused on hardware validation often require familiarity with CUDA or embedded systems testing environments.
How do I apply for Software QA Engineer jobs at NVIDIA?
You can search for Software QA Engineer openings directly on NVIDIA's careers site or browse visa-confirmed listings on Migrate Mate, which filters for roles where sponsorship is documented. When applying, tailor your resume to reflect hardware or GPU software QA experience, as NVIDIA's QA function is heavily systems-oriented compared to typical application software QA roles.
How do I plan my timeline if I need H-1B sponsorship at NVIDIA?
If you're on F-1 OPT, map your OPT expiration date against the H-1B cap-subject timeline. USCIS opens H-1B registrations in March each year for an October 1 start. If selected, your employer files the full I-129 petition. A 24-month STEM OPT extension gives you additional runway if your first lottery attempt is unsuccessful.
