Align your QA credentials to financial systems
JPMorganChase prioritizes QA engineers with experience testing high-availability, regulated systems. Certifications like ISTQB and hands-on experience with API testing, regression suites, or payments infrastructure will strengthen your profile before you apply.
Target technology-focused business lines first
JPMorganChase posts Software QA Engineer roles across Consumer Banking, Asset Management, and its CIB technology arm. Roles tied to core banking platforms or trading systems tend to have longer-term staffing needs, which correlates with more consistent sponsorship willingness.
Use Migrate Mate to filter verified sponsorship roles
Not every JPMorganChase QA posting explicitly mentions visa sponsorship. Search verified sponsor roles for this company and function on Migrate Mate to avoid wasting applications on positions that won't support your visa status.
Understand the Labor Condition Application timeline
Your employer files an LCA with the DOL before submitting an H-1B or E-3 petition to USCIS. At a firm like JPMorganChase, internal legal processing adds weeks before the DOL filing even begins, so factor four to eight weeks of pre-petition prep into your start date expectations.
Prepare for USCIS specialty occupation scrutiny
USCIS sometimes issues Requests for Evidence on Software QA roles, questioning whether the position qualifies as a specialty occupation. Counter this proactively by documenting how your role requires a specific degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field, not just general IT experience.

Find Software QA Engineer at JPMorganChase JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does JPMorganChase sponsor H-1B visas for Software QA Engineers?
Yes, JPMorganChase sponsors H-1B visas for Software QA Engineers. The company has an active immigration program and works with in-house legal teams to file H-1B petitions for qualifying technology roles. Sponsorship is typically confirmed during the offer stage, and your position must meet USCIS specialty occupation standards, meaning a degree in a relevant technical field is generally required.
Which visa types does JPMorganChase sponsor for Software QA Engineer roles?
JPMorganChase sponsors H-1B and E-3 visas for Software QA Engineers, along with H-1B1 visas for Chilean and Singaporean nationals. The company also supports employment-based Green Card pathways, including EB-2 and EB-3 categories, for candidates in longer-term roles. Sponsorship availability can depend on the specific business unit, so confirming early in the process with your recruiter is advisable.
How do I apply for Software QA Engineer jobs at JPMorganChase?
Apply directly through JPMorganChase's careers portal or browse verified sponsorship-eligible postings on Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa type. Tailor your resume to reflect test automation frameworks, quality engineering practices, and any experience with financial or regulated systems. JPMorganChase's interview process for QA roles typically includes technical assessments and system design questions alongside behavioral interviews.
What qualifications does JPMorganChase expect from Software QA Engineers?
JPMorganChase typically looks for a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a closely related field. Hands-on experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, or similar frameworks is important, along with familiarity with CI/CD pipelines. Experience in financial services, payments, or compliance-driven environments is a meaningful differentiator for candidates targeting this company specifically.
How do I plan my timeline when targeting a sponsored QA role at JPMorganChase?
Budget for a longer process than typical tech companies. After receiving an offer, JPMorganChase's internal legal team prepares the Labor Condition Application for DOL certification before USCIS filing can begin. For H-1B cap-subject cases, you must be selected in the annual lottery, which runs in March for an October 1 start. E-3 applicants face fewer timing constraints since that visa has no lottery or annual cap.
