Align your BD experience to cybersecurity verticals
Palo Alto Networks hires BD professionals who can speak to enterprise security buyers, channel partners, or cloud ecosystems. Frame past experience around SASE, Zero Trust, or threat intelligence partnerships to signal immediate fit for their portfolio.
Request LCA details once you reach offer stage
The Department of Labor Labor Condition Application locks in your prevailing wage level and worksite. Ask your recruiter which wage level applies to the BD role before signing, since Level I versus Level II classifications affect your total compensation benchmark.
Use Migrate Mate to target open BD roles
Palo Alto Networks posts Business Development positions across regions and seniority levels at different times. Use Migrate Mate to filter for currently open roles that align with your visa category so you spend time on applications most likely to lead to sponsorship.
Prepare credential documentation for specialty occupation review
USCIS scrutinizes whether BD roles qualify as specialty occupations. Gather transcripts, role descriptions showing analytical or technical depth, and any evidence linking your degree field directly to the strategic functions of the position.
Time your application around the H-1B cap calendar
If you need a cap-subject H-1B, USCIS opens registration in March for an October 1 start. Palo Alto Networks participates in the lottery process, so targeting a BD offer by February gives both you and the company enough runway to file on time.

Find Business Development at Palo Alto Networks JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Palo Alto Networks sponsor H-1B visas for Business Developments?
Yes, Palo Alto Networks sponsors H-1B visas for Business Development roles. The company works with immigration counsel to file Labor Condition Applications through the DOL and petitions through USCIS. If you're subject to the annual cap, timing your offer and registration by the March USCIS window is critical to securing an October start date.
How do I apply for Business Development jobs at Palo Alto Networks?
Apply directly through Palo Alto Networks' careers portal, or use Migrate Mate to browse their currently open Business Development positions filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility. Tailor your application to highlight experience in cybersecurity partnerships, channel sales, or enterprise technology alliances. Mentioning your visa category and timeline early in recruiter conversations helps prevent delays.
Which visa types does Palo Alto Networks commonly use for Business Development roles?
Palo Alto Networks sponsors H-1B, E-3, and TN visas for Business Development positions, along with supporting F-1 OPT and CPT candidates in earlier-stage roles. Australian citizens should specifically explore the E-3, which has no lottery and allows year-round applications. Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying BD roles may be eligible for TN status.
What qualifications does Palo Alto Networks expect for Business Development roles?
Palo Alto Networks typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or a related field, combined with experience in SaaS or enterprise security sales, partnerships, or channel development. Roles involving technical alliances often require familiarity with cloud platforms or network security concepts. For H-1B purposes, your degree field should connect directly to the BD function being performed.
How do I understand the sponsorship timeline for a Business Development role at Palo Alto Networks?
Timeline depends on your visa category. E-3 and TN applications can move quickly, often within a few weeks of an approved LCA. Cap-subject H-1B candidates face a longer path: USCIS registration opens in March, and approved candidates start October 1. Premium processing through USCIS can reduce petition adjudication to 15 business days once the petition is filed.
