Job Summary
Our team:
Chronosphere, a Palo Alto Networks company, is the observability platform built for control in the modern, containerized world. Chronosphere empowers customers to focus on the data and insights that matter by reducing complexity, optimizing costs, and remediating issues faster. Chronosphere reduces data volumes and associated costs by 84% on average while saving developers thousands of hours. Recognized as a leader by major analyst firms, Chronosphere is trusted by the world's most innovative brands, including DoorDash, Affirm, and Zillow.
About the role:
We are looking for a product manager to join the team building out enterprise-grade identity and access management (IAM) product, integrations, and workflows. You’ll operate with one foot in the factory and one foot in the field, bridging between our customers and our engineering team. You’ll translate the IAM needs of enterprise businesses across the Chronosphere observability platform, focusing on a wide range of areas including authentication, fine-grained access control, and access management. You must be comfortable with a deeply technical product that serves a deeply technical audience.
Qualifications
You will:
- Perform primary research, interviewing end-users and buyers to deeply understand the IAM needs of traditional enterprises.
- Partner with engineers and technical stakeholders to articulate, scope, and deliver well integrated IAM products and workflows.
- Track the stability and reliability of your product with an eye towards enterprise-grade performance.
- Set KPIs to articulate and measure intended value and impact for customers.
- Develop comprehensive roadmaps and deliverable plans to achieve stated outcomes for customers and the business.
- Communicate priorities and the roadmap, and align the team around them.
- Manage the backlog, groom stories, and break down tasks.
- Partner across teams to ensure cohesive features and workflows across the platform.
- Coordinate with product marketing on positioning and messaging.
- Drive clarity.
What you will achieve:
In your first 30 days, you’ll dive deep into the market and user base and in-flight development projects. You’ll meet our existing customers, ride along on end-user interviews, and observe stand-ups and other sprint ceremonies. You’ll take on a project as product owner. You’ll spend most of your time on delivery and validation, generating buildable projects for the short-term future.
Within three months, as we charter new projects, you’ll be the product owner from the beginning. You will drive your own research and set KPIs for your area. You’ll seek the input that you need to make highly informed decisions. The team will look to you as the authority on the customers and the feature set.
You have:
- 8+ years of experience as a product manager, with experience working on an enterprise software product.
- 5+ years working with Identity & Access Management products and platforms.
- Strong understanding of authentication, identity, authorization, SSO standards and protocols.
- Hands-on experience with the major protocols and identity providers: AWS, Azure, Google, Okta, and Active Directory for on-premise.
- A track record of delivering software with agile processes and tight feedback loops.
- Experience in building and operating software as a service.
- An obsession with getting the little details right.
- No fear of diving deep into the world of cloud native monitoring: Docker, Kubernetes, and Prometheus.

Frame your sales credentials around cybersecurity
Palo Alto Networks values Sales candidates who can speak to security outcomes, not just quotas. Tailor your resume to highlight any enterprise SaaS, cloud security, or network infrastructure experience before you apply.
Target roles that map to your visa category
E-3 and TN holders can start work quickly without waiting on USCIS adjudication, which makes you a lower-friction hire. When reviewing open Sales roles, filter for positions where your status lets you begin within weeks, not months.
Use Migrate Mate to find open Sales roles
Palo Alto Networks posts Sales positions across multiple channels and they fill quickly. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for roles that match your visa type so you're not wasting applications on positions the company won't sponsor.
Prepare for the LCA step before your offer lands
Once Palo Alto Networks extends an offer, your employer must file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL before USCIS can process your H-1B petition. Understanding this sequence helps you set realistic start-date expectations during negotiations.
Disclose your visa status early in the process
Palo Alto Networks has an established immigration program, so hiding your status helps nothing. Recruiters need to loop in legal early for cap-subject H-1B cases, especially if your OPT expiration is approaching and you need a timely filing.
Build a pipeline around the H-1B cap calendar
If you need a cap-subject H-1B, USCIS registration opens in March for an October 1 start. For Sales roles that require a specific ramp period, work backwards from October 1 when negotiating your target start date with the hiring team.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Palo Alto Networks sponsor H-1B visas for Sales?
Yes, Palo Alto Networks sponsors H-1B visas for Sales roles. The company has an established immigration program and regularly works with outside counsel to file petitions for qualified candidates. If you're on OPT and need H-1B sponsorship, raise it early in the recruiting process so the legal team has time to prepare for the annual USCIS cap registration window in March.
How do I apply for Sales jobs at Palo Alto Networks?
Applications go through the Palo Alto Networks careers portal, but roles in Sales move fast and competition is high. Migrate Mate lets you browse open Sales positions at Palo Alto Networks filtered by visa type, so you can focus on roles the company is actively sponsoring. Tailor your application to show enterprise sales experience and familiarity with cybersecurity solutions.
Which visa types does Palo Alto Networks commonly sponsor for Sales roles?
Palo Alto Networks sponsors H-1B, E-3, TN, and F-1 OPT for Sales positions, and also supports Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 for longer-tenured employees. E-3 and TN holders are often attractive hires because they don't require lottery selection and can start work quickly after filing. CPT is also supported for eligible students in structured internship programs.
What qualifications does Palo Alto Networks expect for sponsored Sales roles?
Most Sales roles at Palo Alto Networks require a bachelor's degree, which also satisfies the specialty occupation requirement for H-1B eligibility. Beyond credentials, the company typically looks for experience selling complex enterprise software or security solutions, familiarity with channel or SLED markets depending on the role, and a track record of managing multi-stakeholder deals.
How do I plan my timeline if I need visa sponsorship for a Sales role at Palo Alto Networks?
Timeline depends on your current status. E-3 and TN petitions can be processed at a consulate or port of entry within weeks. H-1B transfers for candidates already in status can begin immediately, with USCIS premium processing available in roughly 15 business days. If you need a new cap-subject H-1B, the earliest start date is October 1, so align your job search to the March registration window.
