Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Business Development Jobs at Google Jobs
Align your resume to Google's BD frameworks
Google's Business Development teams prioritize candidates who can bridge technical products and commercial outcomes. Frame your experience around deal structures, partner ecosystems, or platform growth rather than traditional sales metrics alone.
Target roles tied to specific Google product lines
BD openings at Google are often scoped to a product area like Google Cloud, YouTube, or Android. Applying to roles where your industry background matches the product vertical significantly improves your chances of clearing initial recruiter screens.
Confirm your visa type before your offer stage
Google sponsors H-1B, H-1B1, and E-3 visas for Business Development. If you're Australian, the E-3 bypasses the H-1B lottery entirely. Clarify which visa category applies to you before negotiating your start date, since H-1B cap-subject cases have fixed October 1 start dates.
Account for LCA filing in your timeline
Before USCIS can process your H-1B petition, Google's immigration team must file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL. This step typically takes one to two weeks but must be completed first, so factor it into your expected start date.
Use Migrate Mate to filter verified BD openings at Google
Finding roles that actively support visa sponsorship takes more than a keyword search. Migrate Mate lets you filter Business Development jobs at Google by visa type so you're only reviewing positions where sponsorship is confirmed upfront.
Prepare for Google's structured interview process early
Google uses a multi-round interview process for BD roles that typically includes a recruiter screen, a hiring manager round, and cross-functional panels. Preparing examples of complex deal negotiations or partner program management well before your first call gives you a measurable edge.

Find Business Development at Google JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Google sponsor H-1B visas for Business Development?
Yes, Google sponsors H-1B visas for Business Development roles. Cap-subject H-1B cases require selection in the annual USCIS lottery, with registrations typically opening in March for an October 1 start date. Google also sponsors H-1B1 visas for Chilean and Singaporean nationals and E-3 visas for Australian citizens, both of which bypass the lottery entirely.
How do I apply for Business Development jobs at Google?
Applications go through Google's careers portal at careers.google.com. Search for Business Development roles filtered by location and product area. Google's process typically moves from a recruiter screen to a hiring manager call, followed by virtual or on-site panel interviews. Once you receive an offer, Google's in-house immigration team takes over to initiate whichever visa sponsorship process applies to your situation. You can also browse verified openings on Migrate Mate, where roles are filtered by visa sponsorship type.
Which visa types does Google commonly sponsor for Business Development roles?
Google most commonly sponsors the H-1B for Business Development professionals, but also files H-1B1 petitions for eligible Chilean and Singaporean nationals and E-3 petitions for Australian citizens. The right visa depends on your nationality and immigration history. If you're currently on F-1 OPT, Google can sponsor your H-1B while you remain authorized to work under your OPT period.
What qualifications does Google expect for Business Development roles?
Most Business Development roles at Google require a bachelor's degree in business, economics, engineering, or a related field, with an MBA valued for senior positions. Google looks for demonstrated experience in deal structuring, partner management, or go-to-market strategy, ideally within a technology or platform context. Roles tied to Google Cloud or hardware divisions often expect candidates with a background in enterprise sales or technical account management.
How do I manage the timing between a Google offer and my visa filing?
If you're cap-subject for H-1B, Google can only file your petition after the USCIS lottery selection in April, with employment starting October 1 at the earliest. For E-3 and H-1B1, there's no lottery, so processing can begin once you have an offer and a certified LCA from the DOL. Build at least four to eight weeks of buffer between your offer acceptance and your target start date to accommodate government processing steps.
