ABOUT THE JOB
The Global Incentives team is a driver behind our commercial strategy, designing and executing programs (i.e. additive tech fund (ATF), video incentive program, media trials program, media readiness program) that drives business results for our partners and customers. Our mission is to build global incentives as well as the tools, systems, workflows and communications —that allows our incentive programs to scale with speed and precision. As the Agency Tools and Infrastructure Global Incentives Manager, you will lead an incentive program (e.g., additive tech fund) that encourages agency partners to build the tools and infrastructure needed to support Google’s top priorities across Video, Search, and Measurement. In an engaged ecosystem, you will manage end-to-end operations and workflows for the global incentives program. Your focus will be on establishing robust guardrails, maximizing return on investment (ROI), streamlining processes, and developing key collateral and communications—all designed to minimize seller friction. To succeed in this role, you will navigate complex cross-functional landscapes—partnering closely with Finance, Legal, Accounting, gTech, go-to-market (GTM) and Regional Agency teams—while simultaneously working alongside Regional agreement teams to execute strategies. You will bring a nuanced understanding of the global agency landscape and a proven track record of scaling high-impact programs across multiple regions. Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. US: $124000 - $178000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

- Translate regional agency needs and market nuances into unified operational frameworks, scaling incentive programs across Google’s top agency partners.

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

- 2 years of experience in global program management and customer media incentives.
- Operational design experience, building end-to-end workflows, establishing program guardrails, and creating enablement resources that reduce friction for partners or sales teams.
- Deep understanding of the agency landscape within the digital advertising ecosystem.
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and advanced spreadsheet software or BI tools (like Tableau or Looker) to build functional trackers and performance dashboards.

Align your credentials to Google's technical bar
Google's Sales Solutions Engineers are expected to demo products, write scripts, and engage directly with engineering stakeholders at enterprise clients. Certifications in Google Cloud or equivalent platforms signal readiness for technical rounds beyond the sales pitch.
Target roles open to E-3 applicants first
If you're an Australian citizen, Google's sponsorship history includes the E-3 visa, which has no lottery and can be filed directly at a U.S. consulate. Targeting open roles with E-3 eligibility can significantly shorten your path to a start date.
Find verified sponsoring roles through Migrate Mate
Filter Sales Solutions Engineer openings at Google by visa type on Migrate Mate to confirm sponsorship eligibility before applying. This saves you from pursuing roles where sponsorship isn't available for your specific visa category.
Prepare for Google's structured technical interview format
Google uses a defined interview loop for Solutions Engineers that includes system design, coding fundamentals, and business case presentations. Preparing documentation of past technical sales wins, architecture diagrams, and measurable customer outcomes strengthens both your candidacy and your future visa petition evidence.
Confirm your LCA timeline with your recruiter early
Your employer files a Labor Condition Application with DOL before any H-1B petition reaches USCIS. At a company the size of Google, internal legal queues exist. Clarifying the expected LCA filing window during offer negotiations helps you plan your start date accurately.
Use your OPT or grace period window strategically
If you're transitioning from F-1 OPT, the 60-day grace period after employment ends is not work-authorized time. Timing your Google application and any cap-gap coverage under an H-1B petition requires coordinating your offer date with USCIS filing windows.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Google sponsor H-1B visas for Sales Solutions Engineers?
Yes, Google sponsors H-1B visas for Sales Solutions Engineer roles. The H-1B is subject to an annual cap and a lottery for most applicants, with USCIS conducting the selection process each spring for an October 1 start. Google's legal team manages the petition process internally, so sponsorship is built into the offer for eligible roles rather than negotiated separately.
Which visa types does Google commonly use for Sales Solutions Engineer roles?
Google sponsors H-1B, H-1B1 visa, and E-3 visas for this role. The H-1B applies broadly to international candidates, the H-1B1 is available exclusively to nationals of Chile and Singapore, and the E-3 is available only to Australian citizens. All three classify Sales Solutions Engineer as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
What qualifications does Google expect for Sales Solutions Engineer roles?
Google typically requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a closely related technical field, combined with hands-on experience in pre-sales or solutions consulting. Practical exposure to cloud infrastructure, APIs, or enterprise software is expected. The role involves both technical demos and business case development, so candidates who can bridge those two competencies are strongly positioned.
How do I apply for Sales Solutions Engineer jobs at Google?
Browse current Sales Solutions Engineer openings at Google filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility on Migrate Mate, then apply directly through Google's careers portal. Google's application process includes a recruiter screen, a technical phone round, and a structured interview loop. Sponsorship eligibility is confirmed during the offer stage, so clarifying your visa category with the recruiter early avoids delays.
How do I plan my timeline if Google is sponsoring my H-1B?
H-1B cap registrations open each March for an October 1 start date. If you're selected in the lottery, Google's legal team typically files the full petition by the June 30 deadline. If you're on F-1 OPT, cap-gap protections may allow you to continue working through the October 1 activation date. Starting your job search and offer process by January gives you the best alignment with this annual cycle.
