Frame Your Insurance Knowledge for Specialty Lines
Ryan Specialty operates in wholesale and specialty insurance, not standard retail carriers. Tailor your resume to show familiarity with surplus lines, risk placement, or wholesale brokerage workflows so hiring managers see immediate functional fit.
Confirm Your OPT or CPT Authorization Before Applying
If you're on F-1 status, verify your OPT authorization dates align with Ryan Specialty's typical onboarding timeline. A gap between your start date and valid work authorization will stall an otherwise strong offer through their HR and compliance review.
Target Regional Operations and Service Center Roles
Ryan Specialty's Customer Service hiring concentrates in operational hubs tied to their specialty divisions. Search by division and location rather than a blanket company-wide search to find roles where sponsorship has been used for this function before.
Use Migrate Mate to Filter Verified Sponsorship Roles
Search Ryan Specialty's open Customer Service positions on Migrate Mate to filter specifically for roles where the company has a documented sponsorship track record, cutting out positions unlikely to support a visa filing.
Understand How H-1B Cap Timing Affects Your Offer
H-1B cap filings open in March with an October 1 start date. If Ryan Specialty extends you an offer outside that window, ask HR whether they can accommodate a cap-exempt filing path or delayed start tied to the next lottery cycle.
Prepare a Clean LCA Compliance Profile for Your Employer
Ryan Specialty's legal team will need to file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL before your H-1B petition moves forward. Having your job title, work location, and prevailing wage documentation organized in advance shortens the internal review process significantly.

Find Customer Service at Ryan Specialty JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Ryan Specialty sponsor H-1B visas for Customer Service roles?
Yes, Ryan Specialty has sponsored H-1B visas for Customer Service positions. Sponsorship in this function is not guaranteed for every opening, so candidates should confirm sponsorship availability directly with the recruiter early in the process. Roles tied to specialty insurance operations or wholesale brokerage support tend to be the most viable targets for H-1B filings within this department.
How do I apply for Customer Service jobs at Ryan Specialty?
Applications go through Ryan Specialty's careers portal, where Customer Service openings are listed by division and location. Before applying, confirm the role description mentions visa sponsorship support or reach out to the recruiter directly. Migrate Mate is a practical starting point to browse Ryan Specialty's current Customer Service postings filtered by sponsorship history, so you're not applying blindly.
Which visa types does Ryan Specialty commonly use for Customer Service hires?
Ryan Specialty has used H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, and J-1 visa types for hires in this function. F-1 OPT is common for recent graduates entering client service or operations roles, while H-1B filings apply to candidates requiring longer-term sponsorship. TN status is an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories aligned with insurance or financial services roles.
What qualifications does Ryan Specialty expect for Customer Service candidates needing sponsorship?
Relevant experience in insurance operations, wholesale brokerage, or specialty lines support strengthens your candidacy significantly. A bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field is typically expected for roles that would support an H-1B filing, since the petition requires demonstrating that the position qualifies as a specialty occupation. Customer-facing experience within financial services is a practical differentiator.
How do I time my application around the H-1B filing schedule?
USCIS opens H-1B cap registrations in March each year, with approved petitions taking effect October 1. If you're targeting Ryan Specialty and need cap-subject H-1B sponsorship, aim to have an offer in place by February at the latest. If you're already on F-1 OPT, your employer can file the H-1B petition while you work, and the 60-day grace period gives you a buffer if your OPT expires between roles.
