Verify your CNA certification before applying
South Carolina requires an active CNA certification on the state registry before you can work as a Nursing Assistant. Confirm your credential is transferable or endorsable to South Carolina early, since employer sponsorship cannot proceed until your certification is in order.
Target Self Regional's inpatient and long-term care units
Self Regional Healthcare operates both acute care and extended care facilities, both of which hire Nursing Assistants regularly. Focusing your application on specific units increases your visibility and signals genuine intent to hiring managers reviewing a large candidate pool.
Ask HR which visa categories they actively file
Self Regional Healthcare has sponsored candidates under multiple visa categories including H-1B, F-1 OPT, and TN. During screening calls, ask directly which pathways their HR team has recent experience processing so you can align your timeline and status accordingly.
Align your F-1 OPT start date with their hiring cycle
Healthcare employers often hire Nursing Assistants on a rolling basis tied to unit staffing needs. Coordinating your OPT authorization start date with an open position at Self Regional reduces the gap between offer and your first eligible work date, which matters to busy nurse managers.
Confirm E-Verify enrollment before your onboarding paperwork
As a healthcare employer receiving federal funding, Self Regional Healthcare participates in E-Verify. Confirm this during the offer stage so your I-9 documentation is ready, and flag any USCIS work authorization documents that have pending renewal to avoid employment holds.
Use Migrate Mate to track open Nursing Assistant roles
New Nursing Assistant postings at Self Regional Healthcare appear and close quickly due to high staffing demand. Use Migrate Mate to filter active openings by visa type so you only apply to roles that match your current authorization or sponsorship needs.

Does Self Regional Healthcare sponsor H-1B visas for Nursing Assistants?
Yes, Self Regional Healthcare has sponsored H-1B visas for Nursing Assistant roles. Because H-1B sponsorship requires demonstrating specialty occupation status, the role and your qualifications need to meet USCIS requirements. Healthcare employers like Self Regional typically handle this through their HR or legal team, so ask about their process directly during the offer stage.
How do I apply for Nursing Assistant jobs at Self Regional Healthcare?
Applications go through Self Regional Healthcare's careers portal on their official website. Filter for Nursing Assistant or Patient Care Technician roles and apply directly to open postings. You can also browse active visa-sponsoring openings at Self Regional through Migrate Mate, which filters listings by visa type so you can confirm sponsorship eligibility before applying.
Which visa types does Self Regional Healthcare commonly use for Nursing Assistant roles?
Self Regional Healthcare has sponsored Nursing Assistants under H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, and J-1 visa categories. For candidates in nursing or allied health programs, F-1 CPT and OPT are common entry points. TN status is an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying healthcare occupations. H-1B sponsorship is also available for longer-term employment.
What qualifications does Self Regional Healthcare expect for Nursing Assistant candidates?
Self Regional Healthcare expects candidates to hold an active CNA certification registered in South Carolina, or to be eligible for state endorsement. Most postings also require basic life support certification and prior clinical experience, either through a formal CNA training program or relevant healthcare coursework. Some roles in acute care units prefer candidates with experience in hospital rather than residential settings.
How do I time my visa sponsorship process when targeting a Nursing Assistant role at Self Regional Healthcare?
Timing depends on your current status. F-1 OPT candidates should apply three to four months before their program end date to align authorization with the hiring timeline. H-1B cap-subject petitions require USCIS lottery registration in March for an October 1 start, so plan accordingly. For TN or J-1 pathways, processing is faster, but confirm the role qualifies under the specific visa category with HR before accepting an offer.
