Target roles that align with H-1B specialty occupation requirements
Architecture, structural engineering, and urban planning roles at Steinberg Hart are strong fits for H-1B sponsorship. Focus your application on positions requiring a specific degree field, that's what makes a role qualify as a specialty occupation.
Understand that construction and real estate firms sponsor selectively
Steinberg Hart sponsors visas but does so for the right candidate in the right role. Come prepared with a clear narrative connecting your degree, your specialized skills, and the specific position, vague applications won't move forward at firms like this.
Position yourself for the Green Card pipeline, not just H-1B
Steinberg Hart has sponsored both H-1B and permanent residence pathways. If you're thinking long-term, ask during interviews about their history with EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship, it signals commitment and helps you assess fit beyond the initial visa.
Research which design and technical disciplines they hire most
Steinberg Hart's work spans architecture, interiors, and planning. Candidates whose expertise maps directly to active project types, hospitality, healthcare, mixed-use, tend to be stronger sponsorship candidates. Review their portfolio before applying to identify your best angle.
Apply early in hiring cycles for the best H-1B timing
H-1B cap-subject petitions must be filed by April 1 for an October start. If you're targeting Steinberg Hart, aim to interview and receive an offer by February so your employer has time to prepare the petition and LCA before the filing window opens.
Use Migrate Mate to find verified sponsoring firms in your field
Architecture and design roles that come with real sponsorship history are hard to identify from job listings alone. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history and focus on firms like Steinberg Hart that have an actual track record.

Find Steinberg Hart JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Steinberg Hart sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Steinberg Hart sponsors H-1B visas. The firm has filed H-1B petitions for roles in architecture and design, fields that typically qualify as specialty occupations because they require a specific bachelor's degree or higher. If you're applying for a technical or design role, H-1B sponsorship is a realistic path, though the firm sponsors selectively rather than at high volume.
What types of visas does Steinberg Hart sponsor?
Steinberg Hart sponsors both H-1B nonimmigrant visas and permanent residence through the EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card categories. This combination is significant, it means the firm is willing to invest in long-term sponsorship for the right candidate, not just a temporary work authorization fix. Candidates pursuing a full immigration pathway should ask directly about their PERM and Green Card history during the interview process.
Which roles or departments at Steinberg Hart are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at Steinberg Hart is most likely for specialized design and technical roles, think licensed architects, interior designers with a focused specialization, and project managers with technical credentials. These positions meet the H-1B specialty occupation standard because the degree requirement is field-specific. General administrative or business development roles are less likely to qualify and less likely to be sponsored.
How do I time my application to Steinberg Hart around the H-1B filing deadline?
The H-1B cap lottery opens in March, with petitions filed by April 1 for an October 1 start date. To hit that window with Steinberg Hart, you need an offer in hand by February at the latest, earlier is better, since your employer must complete an LCA filing with the Department of Labor before USCIS can accept the petition. Missing the April window means waiting a full year for the next cycle.
How do I find open roles at Steinberg Hart that include visa sponsorship?
The most reliable approach is to use Migrate Mate, which tracks verified sponsorship history for firms like Steinberg Hart and surfaces open roles alongside their actual filing records. This lets you apply with confidence rather than guessing whether a listing will lead to sponsorship. When you reach out to Steinberg Hart directly, mention your visa situation early, firms with an established sponsorship process are far less likely to be caught off guard.
