Align your credentials with financial products tax
TD Securities Tax Associate roles focus on derivatives, securities lending, and structured products taxation. Before applying, make sure your resume reflects relevant technical tax experience in financial instruments, not just general corporate or public accounting tax work.
Target roles during fall recruiting cycles
Investment banks including TD Securities typically recruit for Tax Associate positions in late summer through fall. Timing your applications to this window puts you in contention before headcount is frozen, which matters if your offer needs to align with H-1B cap deadlines.
Confirm E-3 eligibility before your offer stage
If you're an Australian citizen, TD Securities sponsors E-3 visas, which have no lottery and a faster path to starting work. Raise your visa status early in conversations so your recruiter can route you to the correct USCIS and DOL Labor Condition Application process.
Prepare CPA credentials and degree transcripts early
TD Securities Tax Associate roles generally require or strongly prefer CPA licensure and a relevant accounting or tax degree. USCIS scrutinizes specialty occupation evidence for financial roles, so having certified transcripts and your CPA certificate ready before filing strengthens the I-129 package.
Use Migrate Mate to find open Tax Associate roles at TD Securities
Sponsorship-eligible Tax Associate openings at TD Securities aren't always flagged clearly on general job boards. Browse Migrate Mate to filter specifically for TD Securities roles that support H-1B or E-3 sponsorship, so you're not wasting time on postings that won't lead anywhere.
Understand PERM timing if you're targeting permanent residence
TD Securities sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards for Tax Associates, but PERM labor certification can take a year or more under DOL processing. If long-term status matters to you, ask during the offer stage whether the firm initiates PERM for this role category.

Find Tax Associate at TD Securities JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does TD Securities sponsor H-1B visas for Tax Associates?
Yes, TD Securities sponsors H-1B visas for Tax Associates. Because the H-1B is subject to an annual cap and lottery, timing your offer and paperwork around the April 1 filing window is critical. Employers must register in March, so securing your offer well before that deadline is essential for cap-subject candidates.
Which visa types does TD Securities commonly use for Tax Associate roles?
TD Securities sponsors H-1B, E-3, and Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 for Tax Associates. Australian citizens benefit most from the E-3 option, which bypasses the lottery entirely. For longer-term permanent residence, the firm has a track record of initiating PERM-based Green Card sponsorship for qualifying employees in this function.
What qualifications does TD Securities expect for Tax Associate positions?
TD Securities Tax Associate roles typically require a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with CPA licensure preferred or expected. Experience with financial products taxation, including derivatives or securities, is a strong differentiator. Candidates coming from Big Four or financial services tax practices tend to be the most competitive applicants for this role.
How do I apply for Tax Associate jobs at TD Securities?
You can find sponsorship-eligible Tax Associate openings at TD Securities through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa type so you can confirm H-1B or E-3 support before applying. TD Securities also posts roles through its own careers portal. Applying directly after identifying a fit on Migrate Mate gives you the clearest path to a sponsorship conversation.
How do I plan my timeline if I need visa sponsorship for a TD Securities Tax Associate role?
If you need H-1B sponsorship, your offer needs to be in place before the March registration window so TD Securities can include you in the lottery. E-3 candidates have more flexibility since there's no lottery, but you still need a certified Labor Condition Application from DOL before your visa interview. Build at least six to eight weeks of processing buffer into your start date expectations.
