Align Your Background to Front-Office Support
TD Securities Business Operations roles often support trading desks, prime brokerage, or fixed income operations. Frame your experience around trade lifecycle, settlements, or regulatory reporting so hiring managers see direct functional fit before sponsorship even comes up.
Obtain FINRA Licenses Before You Apply
Many Business Operations positions at investment banks require Series 7 or Series 63 licensing. Holding these before your interview signals you can contribute immediately, which strengthens the internal business case TD Securities needs to initiate sponsorship paperwork.
Target Roles With Permanent Sponsorship Language
TD Securities sponsors both H-1B and Green Card pathways for Business Operations staff. When reviewing job postings, prioritize listings that explicitly mention immigration assistance or permanent residency support, as these signal the role has cleared internal budget approval for long-term sponsorship.
Understand the H-1B Cap Timeline for Banking Roles
If you need H-1B sponsorship, registration opens in March for an October 1 start date. Plan your TD Securities application and offer negotiation timeline accordingly, since the bank must submit your petition within weeks of the lottery results.
Prepare Your I-9 and Work Authorization Documents Early
TD Securities uses E-Verify for employment eligibility confirmation. Have your passport, visa documents, and any existing work authorization records organized before your start date so onboarding and the E-Verify submission process move without delays.
Use Migrate Mate to Filter Verified Sponsoring Roles
Identifying which Business Operations openings at TD Securities are actively open to sponsored candidates takes time when searching general job boards. Use Migrate Mate to filter directly for TD Securities roles that align with your visa type and target function.

Find Business Operations at TD Securities JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does TD Securities sponsor H-1B visas for Business Operations?
Yes, TD Securities sponsors H-1B visas for Business Operations roles. As a large financial institution operating under federal regulations, the bank has established immigration infrastructure to support petitions for qualifying positions. Roles tied to trading operations, regulatory compliance, and institutional client support have historically been considered specialty occupations eligible for H-1B sponsorship.
How do I apply for Business Operations jobs at TD Securities?
Applications go through TD Securities' careers portal, where Business Operations roles are posted by function and location. To identify which openings are open to visa sponsorship, use Migrate Mate to browse verified TD Securities listings filtered by visa type. Tailor your resume to reflect trade lifecycle, settlements, or risk operations experience before submitting.
Which visa types does TD Securities commonly use for Business Operations roles?
TD Securities sponsors H-1B visas for nonimmigrant work authorization and pursues EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa categories for eligible Business Operations employees seeking permanent residency. Australian nationals may also qualify for the E-3 visa, which has a separate annual allocation and bypasses the H-1B lottery, making it a practical alternative for that nationality.
What qualifications does TD Securities look for in Business Operations candidates?
Expect requirements to include a bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field, along with experience in trade support, regulatory operations, or middle-office functions within investment banking or capital markets. Familiarity with platforms like Bloomberg or Calypso, combined with FINRA licensing, strengthens a candidacy considerably for roles that require day-one functional contribution.
How do I time my application around the H-1B sponsorship process at TD Securities?
USCIS H-1B registration opens in March each year, with the lottery typically occurring shortly after. To meet this window, you should have an offer and completed petition documents with TD Securities by late February at the latest. Approved petitions have an October 1 start date, so factor a gap period into your plans if you need a change of status or are transitioning from OPT.
