Frame your credentials around client delivery outcomes
TCS Business Operations roles are client-facing and delivery-driven. Tailor your resume to show process improvements, SLA management, or cross-functional coordination in technology service environments, not just general administrative or operational experience.
Target roles listed under specific TCS practices
TCS organizes Business Operations hiring by service line and industry vertical. Search for roles tied to specific practices like Banking, Financial Services, or Manufacturing to find openings where your operational background maps directly to the client portfolio.
Understand how TCS structures H-1B sponsorship internally
TCS files H-1B petitions through its internal immigration team, not outside counsel you can contact directly. During interviews, ask HR explicitly whether the role is cap-subject or if TCS has cap-exempt access through affiliated research entities.
Use Migrate Mate to identify active Business Operations openings at TCS
Searching TCS's general careers page often buries Business Operations roles under broad categories. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for TCS Business Operations positions that include visa sponsorship, so you're applying where sponsorship is already confirmed.
Prepare for a multi-stage offer and filing timeline
TCS typically runs structured offer processes with background checks and onboarding steps before initiating any USCIS petition. Once you have a written offer, ask HR for a projected filing timeline so you can plan your current visa status accordingly, especially if you're in a 60-day grace period.

Find Business Operations at Tata Consultancy Services JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Tata Consultancy Services sponsor H-1B visas for Business Operations?
Yes, TCS sponsors H-1B visas for Business Operations roles. TCS operates as a large-volume H-1B petitioner and has an established internal immigration function that manages filings. Sponsorship is typically tied to a specific role and client engagement, so your offer letter should confirm the position's sponsorship eligibility before you accept.
How do I apply for Business Operations jobs at Tata Consultancy Services?
You can apply through TCS's careers portal or use Migrate Mate to browse Business Operations roles at TCS that are tagged for visa sponsorship. Migrate Mate filters out roles where sponsorship isn't available, saving you time. TCS's application process typically includes an initial screen, technical or case-based interview, and HR discussion before an offer is extended.
Which visa types does TCS commonly use for Business Operations roles?
TCS sponsors H-1B visas most commonly for Business Operations professionals. For candidates already in the U.S. on F-1 status, OPT and CPT are accepted during the hiring process. TCS also pursues Green Card sponsorship through EB-2 and EB-3 PERM labor certification for employees in longer-term roles. TN visas apply for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying Business Operations positions.
What qualifications does TCS expect for Business Operations roles?
TCS Business Operations roles typically require a bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, information systems, or a related field. Practical experience with process documentation, project coordination, or client service delivery in a technology or consulting environment strengthens your profile. Familiarity with enterprise tools like SAP, ServiceNow, or similar platforms is frequently referenced in TCS job postings for this function.
How do I time my application around the H-1B cap and TCS's hiring process?
H-1B cap-subject petitions can only be filed once per year, with USCIS accepting registrations in March for an October 1 start date. TCS typically begins hiring Business Operations candidates in the preceding months to meet that window. If you're on OPT, confirm your authorization end date and coordinate with TCS HR so your petition is filed before your status lapses.
