Frame your experience around SAP or Oracle
TCS Supply Chain roles frequently support ERP implementations for enterprise clients. Candidates who can demonstrate hands-on configuration or consulting experience in SAP SCM, Oracle SCM Cloud, or similar platforms stand out during screening and strengthen a specialty occupation case for H-1B filing.
Distinguish consulting from staffing engagements
TCS operates both consulting-led and staffing-model contracts. For visa sponsorship, consulting engagements tend to offer clearer specialty occupation documentation. During interviews, clarify whether the role is client-facing project delivery, as this affects how your H-1B petition is structured and supported.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open Supply Chain roles
Not every TCS Supply Chain posting is sponsorship-eligible. Use Migrate Mate to browse current openings filtered by visa type so you're only applying to roles where TCS has confirmed it will support your work authorization from the start.
Verify your OPT timeline before applying
If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm your remaining authorization window covers TCS's typical onboarding timeline. TCS participates in E-Verify, which is required for STEM OPT extension employment, so your degree field must qualify under the DHS STEM designation list before you apply.
Prepare for a multi-stage credential review
TCS's internal immigration team will evaluate your degree field against the Supply Chain role's specialty occupation requirements before filing with USCIS. A credential evaluation from a NACES-accredited body is essential if your degree is from a non-U.S. institution, especially for roles requiring a specific technical discipline.
Understand the PERM timeline for Green Card progression
TCS sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards for Supply Chain professionals, but PERM labor certification with DOL typically takes 12 to 18 months before USCIS even receives the immigrant petition. Factor this into your career planning if long-term U.S. residency is your goal.

Find Supply Chain at Tata Consultancy Services JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Tata Consultancy Services sponsor H-1B visas for Supply Chains?
Yes, TCS sponsors H-1B visas for Supply Chain professionals. The company has an established immigration function that manages petitions internally. Supply Chain roles typically qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS standards when the position requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related field such as supply chain management, industrial engineering, or information systems.
How do I apply for Supply Chain jobs at Tata Consultancy Services?
You can browse current Supply Chain openings at TCS directly through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship eligibility so you're not wasting time on positions that won't support your work authorization. When applying, tailor your resume to the specific engagement model, whether consulting, implementation, or managed services, and be explicit about your current visa status and work authorization timeline.
Which visa types does TCS commonly use for Supply Chain roles?
TCS sponsors H-1B visas as the primary nonimmigrant work visa for Supply Chain professionals. The company also supports F-1 OPT and CPT for students and recent graduates, TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying occupations, and employment-based Green Cards through the EB-2 and EB-3 preference categories for longer-term employees pursuing permanent residence.
What qualifications does TCS expect for Supply Chain positions?
Most Supply Chain roles at TCS require a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, business analytics, or a related technical field. Practical experience with ERP platforms such as SAP SCM or Oracle SCM Cloud is commonly expected. For consulting-track roles, client-facing project experience and domain knowledge in areas like procurement, logistics, or demand planning strengthen your candidacy significantly.
How do I plan my timeline around TCS's H-1B sponsorship process?
The H-1B cap-subject lottery runs once per year with registrations in March and an October 1 start date if selected. TCS can only file cap-subject petitions within this annual window, so if you're between OPT and H-1B status, confirm your remaining authorized period covers the gap. Cap-exempt options may apply if you transfer from a qualifying institution, but most TCS hires go through the standard cap process.
