Map your degree to USMCA professions
TN eligibility depends on your occupation falling within the USMCA professions list, not just your job title at Arista. Cross-reference your degree field against the list using O*NET to confirm your specific engineering or computer systems role qualifies before applying.
Target Arista's network engineering teams
Arista's core product lines in cloud networking and data center infrastructure concentrate TN-eligible roles in network design, software development, and systems engineering. Prioritize job postings from these divisions where your USMCA occupation category aligns most directly with the listed responsibilities.
Request an offer letter before your border crossing
Arista issues a support letter confirming your role, salary, and USMCA occupation category. Canadian nationals present this at the port of entry without a prior USCIS petition. Confirm with HR that the letter explicitly states your qualifying profession and the temporary nature of the position.
Verify your wage against prevailing rates early
Arista's compensation for TN roles in Silicon Valley and remote positions varies by level. Before your interview stage, use the OFLC Wage Search to confirm the offered salary meets or exceeds the prevailing wage for your occupation and work location, reducing offer-stage friction.
Use Migrate Mate to find verified TN roles
Searching for Arista openings that genuinely support TN admission takes more than filtering by visa type. Migrate Mate surfaces roles at Arista with documented TN sponsorship history, so you're targeting positions where the hiring team already understands the USMCA admission process.
Prepare credential documents for Mexican nationals
Mexican TN applicants attend a U.S. consular interview rather than presenting at the border. Gather your degree certificates, professional licenses, and Arista's offer letter well in advance. Consulate processing can take several weeks, so align your start date with your employer accordingly.
Arista Networks TN Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Arista Networks sponsor TN visas?
Yes, Arista Networks supports TN admission for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying USMCA professions. Because TN is treaty-based admission rather than an employer petition, Arista's role is to issue a support letter confirming your role and occupation category. There is no USCIS petition or Labor Condition Application involved in the process.
Which roles at Arista Networks typically qualify for TN admission?
Arista's TN-eligible roles are concentrated in software engineering, network architecture, systems engineering, and computer science disciplines. These map to recognized USMCA occupation categories. Roles outside technical domains, such as general sales or operations positions, may not meet the profession-specific requirements for TN classification.
How do I start the TN process after receiving an Arista Networks offer?
After accepting your offer, coordinate with Arista's HR or immigration team to obtain a support letter that specifies your job title, qualifying USMCA profession, and employment terms. Canadian nationals present this letter at a U.S. port of entry. Mexican nationals use it to apply for a TN visa at a U.S. consulate in Mexico.
How long does TN admission take for Arista Networks roles?
Canadian nationals can typically receive TN admission at the border the same day they present their documents, assuming all paperwork is in order. Mexican nationals should expect consular processing to take several weeks. Build this timeline into your negotiated start date with Arista's recruiting team before finalizing your offer.
How do I find open TN-eligible positions at Arista Networks?
Standard job boards don't reliably surface which Arista roles support TN admission. Migrate Mate filters Arista Networks openings by visa sponsorship type, including TN, so you can focus on positions where the hiring team is already familiar with USMCA admission requirements and prepared to issue the necessary support documentation.
How does TN visa admission work at Arista Networks?
TN status is granted under the USMCA treaty — there is no USCIS petition or Labor Condition Application required. Canadian citizens can apply directly at a U.S. port of entry with an offer letter from Arista Networks, while Mexican citizens must first obtain a TN visa at a U.S. consulate. The role must match one of the professions listed in USMCA Appendix 1603.D.1. Migrate Mate filters TN job listings to roles that fall within the eligible profession list.
