Match your credential to USMCA's profession list
TN admission at Aspen Dental depends on your role fitting a defined USMCA occupation. Review the USMCA professions list before applying, and confirm your specific job title aligns with a listed category. A mismatch between your credential and the posted role is the most common reason TN admission is refused at the border.
Request a detailed offer letter early
Aspen Dental's offer letter must specify your job title, duties, salary, and employment start date in terms that match your USMCA profession category. Ask your recruiter to confirm the letter is written for TN purposes, not a generic onboarding document, before you travel to the port of entry.
Prepare credential documents for dental-specific roles
Clinical roles at Aspen Dental often require state licensure, national board exam results, or accredited program transcripts. Gather these before your border crossing or consular appointment. Officers assessing healthcare-adjacent TN applicants frequently request proof of licensure beyond the degree alone, so having originals available prevents delays.
Search Aspen Dental roles filtered for TN eligibility on Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter Aspen Dental job listings by TN-eligible USMCA occupations. This lets you target openings where the role's duties and required credentials already align with TN admission criteria, saving time you'd otherwise spend screening postings that don't meet the USMCA professions list.
Understand Aspen Dental's multi-location hiring structure
Aspen Dental operates through a franchise-style network, meaning hiring decisions and offer letter issuance happen at the practice level, not a central HR office. Identify the specific location you're applying to and confirm that location's management is familiar with TN documentation requirements before accepting an offer.
Verify wage compliance against OFLC Wage Search before negotiating
While TN doesn't require an LCA, your offered salary should meet or exceed the prevailing wage for your occupation and location. Use OFLC Wage Search to find the Level I through Level IV wage bands for your role. An offer below the prevailing wage can signal problems during future renewals or status changes.
Aspen Dental TN Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Aspen Dental sponsor TN visas?
Yes, Aspen Dental hires TN professionals for qualifying USMCA occupations across its dental practice network. Aspen Dental doesn't file a petition with USCIS for TN candidates. Instead, it issues an offer letter that you present at the port of entry or U.S. consulate. Your TN admission is granted by a CBP officer or consular officer based on your qualifications and that letter.
Which roles at Aspen Dental typically qualify for TN admission?
Clinical and allied health roles are the most common TN-eligible positions at Aspen Dental. Roles that map to USMCA-listed occupations, such as dentists and certain medical technologists or laboratory roles, are the strongest candidates. Administrative or management roles rarely align with the USMCA professions list, so confirm your specific job title qualifies before applying.
How do I start the TN process with Aspen Dental once I have an offer?
Once you have a written offer, ask Aspen Dental to provide a letter confirming your job title, duties, salary, and anticipated start date. Canadians present this letter directly at a U.S. port of entry alongside credential documents and a valid passport. Mexican nationals schedule a visa appointment at a U.S. consulate and submit a DS-160 before the interview.
How long does TN admission take at Aspen Dental, and how long is it valid?
Canadian applicants crossing at a port of entry can typically receive TN admission the same day, assuming all documentation is in order. Mexican nationals must allow additional time for a consular appointment, which varies by location and season. TN status is granted in up to three-year increments and can be renewed indefinitely as long as you remain in a qualifying USMCA occupation.
How do I find TN-eligible job openings at Aspen Dental?
Migrate Mate filters employer job listings by TN-eligible USMCA occupations, so you can target Aspen Dental openings where the role already aligns with TN admission criteria. You can also search Aspen Dental's careers page directly and cross-reference each posting's required credentials against the USMCA professions list to confirm eligibility before you apply.
How does TN visa admission work at Aspen Dental?
TN status is granted under the USMCA treaty — there is no USCIS petition or Labor Condition Application required. Canadian citizens can apply directly at a U.S. port of entry with an offer letter from Aspen Dental, while Mexican citizens must first obtain a TN visa at a U.S. consulate. The role must match one of the professions listed in USMCA Appendix 1603.D.1. Migrate Mate filters TN job listings to roles that fall within the eligible profession list.
