Verify your credential meets USMCA requirements
Boys Town hires for clinical and behavioral health roles, but TN admission only covers specific USMCA professions. Cross-reference your occupation against the official USMCA professions list before applying, and confirm your degree field directly matches the role title you're targeting.
Research Boys Town's active TN role categories
Boys Town's healthcare operations span behavioral health, nursing, and social services. Use Migrate Mate to filter Boys Town job listings by TN-eligible roles, so you're applying only to positions where your profession and credentials already align with what their hiring teams expect.
Request a detailed offer letter early
Boys Town's offer letter is your primary TN document at the border or consulate. Ask HR to include your job title, USMCA profession category, full-time or part-time status, and salary before you finalize anything. A vague letter causes delays or refusals at the port of entry.
Prepare your credential package before interviews
Border officers and consular officials assess your qualifications independently of Boys Town. Bring original degree transcripts, any professional licenses required in your field, and translated documents if applicable. Healthcare roles at Boys Town often require state licensure, so confirm your license is transferable to Nebraska.
Understand Canadians and Mexicans have different processes
Canadian nationals present their Boys Town offer letter directly at a U.S. port of entry with no prior visa appointment. Mexican nationals must schedule a U.S. consular interview and obtain a TN visa stamp before traveling. Plan your start date with Boys Town around whichever process applies to you.
Clarify renewal expectations with Boys Town HR
TN status is granted in three-year increments with no cap on renewals, but each renewal requires Boys Town to confirm ongoing employment. Before accepting an offer, ask HR whether they routinely support TN renewals and what their internal process looks like for continued sponsorship across multi-year employment.
Boys Town TN Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Boys Town sponsor TN visas?
Yes. Boys Town issues offer letters that support TN admission for qualified Canadian and Mexican nationals in eligible USMCA professions. Because TN is a treaty-based status rather than an employer-filed petition, Boys Town's role is to document the job offer accurately. You present that letter yourself at the port of entry or U.S. consulate.
Which roles at Boys Town typically qualify for TN admission?
Boys Town's healthcare and behavioral health teams are the most common hiring areas for TN professionals. Roles in nursing, social work, counseling, and certain allied health fields often align with USMCA-listed professions. Your specific job title and degree field must map directly to a recognized USMCA profession, so confirm that match before applying.
How do I approach Boys Town's TN offer letter process?
Once Boys Town extends an offer, ask HR to issue a letter that specifies your USMCA profession category, job duties, employment start date, and compensation. This letter is not filed with any government agency but must be detailed enough to satisfy a border officer or consular official. Vague or incomplete letters are a leading cause of TN refusals.
How long does TN admission take when starting at Boys Town?
Canadian nationals can receive TN admission the same day they present their documents at a U.S. land border or preclearance airport. Mexican nationals need a consular appointment, which adds weeks depending on post availability. Build your Boys Town start date around whichever process applies, and account for any state licensing requirements in Nebraska that must be satisfied before you begin.
How do I find open TN-eligible jobs at Boys Town?
Start by identifying Boys Town roles in healthcare, behavioral health, or social services that correspond to a USMCA-listed profession. Migrate Mate lets you filter employer job listings specifically for TN-eligible positions, so you can focus your applications on roles where your credentials and profession category already meet the requirements Boys Town and USMCA require.
How does TN visa admission work at Boys Town?
TN status is granted under the USMCA treaty — there is no USCIS petition or Labor Condition Application required. Canadian citizens can apply directly at a U.S. port of entry with an offer letter from Boys Town, while Mexican citizens must first obtain a TN visa at a U.S. consulate. The role must match one of the professions listed in USMCA Appendix 1603.D.1. Migrate Mate filters TN job listings to roles that fall within the eligible profession list.
