Verify your occupation appears on the USMCA list
TN admission is restricted to specific professions defined under USMCA, and healthcare roles vary in eligibility. Confirm your job title maps to a qualifying occupation before approaching Bronxcare, since offer letters written around ineligible roles will be rejected at the border.
Request an offer letter before your port entry
Bronxcare provides a support letter outlining your role, credentials, and employment terms. You present this at the port of entry or consulate, not USCIS. Canadian applicants can request same-day border admission; Mexican applicants must schedule a consular appointment in advance.
Match your credentials to Bronxcare's clinical standards
Bronxcare operates in a high-acuity Bronx hospital environment with strict licensure expectations. Nurses need a valid U.S. state RN license or proof of eligibility. Gather your credential evaluations, NCLEX results, and any CGFNS certification before the hiring process begins.
Use O*NET to align your job duties language
Bronxcare's offer letter must describe duties consistent with your TN occupation category. Cross-reference O*NET profiles for your target role to ensure the language in your letter matches what USMCA defines as qualifying duties, reducing the risk of a border officer challenge.
Target departments with active allied health demand
Bronxcare's community health mission drives consistent hiring in physical therapy, medical lab technology, and pharmacy. These departments regularly support TN candidates because the roles map cleanly to USMCA-listed professions, giving you a stronger path than applying to administrative or support functions.
Search verified TN openings through Migrate Mate
TN roles at health systems like Bronxcare are rarely labeled by visa type in job postings. Migrate Mate surfaces positions at employers with confirmed TN hiring history, so you can focus your search on Bronxcare openings where TN admission is already an established pathway.
Bronxcare Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Health Center TN Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Bronxcare Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Health Center sponsor TN visas?
Bronxcare supports TN admission for qualified Canadian and Mexican professionals in eligible healthcare occupations. The process is not an employer petition through USCIS. Instead, Bronxcare issues an offer letter that you present at the port of entry or U.S. consulate. Roles must align with USMCA-listed professions to qualify.
Which roles at Bronxcare are most likely to qualify for TN admission?
Clinical and allied health positions are the strongest fit at Bronxcare. Registered nurses, physical therapists, medical technologists, pharmacists, and dietitians all map to USMCA-listed occupations. Administrative, clerical, and general support roles do not qualify under TN, regardless of the employer's willingness to issue a letter.
How do I start the TN admission process after receiving a Bronxcare offer?
Once Bronxcare issues your offer letter, Canadian citizens apply directly at a U.S. port of entry with their letter, credentials, and passport. Mexican citizens must schedule a visa appointment at a U.S. consulate. Neither nationality goes through USCIS. Bring your degree, license, and USMCA profession documentation to support your entry.
How long does TN admission take when Bronxcare is the sponsoring employer?
Canadian citizens can receive TN admission the same day at the border if documentation is complete. Mexican citizens face consular appointment wait times, which vary by location and demand. Once admitted, TN status is granted in three-year increments and can be renewed without a cap, as long as the employment continues. Migrate Mate can help you identify whether your target role and credentials are aligned before you apply.
Does Bronxcare require state licensure before issuing a TN offer letter?
Yes, Bronxcare expects licensed professionals or confirmed eligibility for licensure in New York State before extending an offer for most clinical TN roles. Nurses, for example, must show they hold or are eligible for an RN license. Unlicensed candidates can still receive an offer contingent on passing NCLEX, but border officers may scrutinize pending status closely.
How does TN visa admission work at Bronxcare Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Health Center?
TN status is granted under the USMCA treaty — there is no USCIS petition or Labor Condition Application required. Canadian citizens can apply directly at a U.S. port of entry with an offer letter from Bronxcare Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Health Center, while Mexican citizens must first obtain a TN visa at a U.S. consulate. The role must match one of the professions listed in USMCA Appendix 1603.D.1. Migrate Mate filters TN job listings to roles that fall within the eligible profession list.
