Verify your occupation against USMCA
TN eligibility is limited to roles on the USMCA professions list, so confirm your exact job title maps to a qualifying category before applying. Denver Health hires across nursing, physician, and allied health roles, but not every clinical title qualifies. Use O*NET to match your duties to a recognized USMCA occupation.
Request a detailed support letter
Denver Health's offer letter must specify your USMCA occupational category, job duties, qualifying credentials, and employment period. Border officers use this document to adjudicate TN admission on the spot. A vague or incomplete letter is the most common reason Canadian professionals face delays or refusals at the port of entry.
Benchmark your salary before negotiating
Although TN doesn't require an LCA, your offered salary should align with prevailing wage data for the role and location. Run your title against the OFLC Wage Search before accepting an offer. Denver Health's clinical roles carry specific wage expectations, and a below-market offer can signal credentialing issues during border review.
Use Migrate Mate to find open TN roles
Denver Health posts positions across multiple departments, but not every listing signals TN readiness. Migrate Mate surfaces Denver Health's verified TN-eligible job postings so you can target roles the employer has historically supported, saving time you'd otherwise spend filtering listings that won't lead to a qualifying offer letter.
Prepare credential documents before applying
Denver Health requires proof that your degree directly supports the USMCA occupational category you're claiming. Gather your original transcripts, professional license, and any credential evaluation if your degree is from outside the U.S. or Canada. Healthcare regulators also require state licensure before Denver Health can finalize your offer letter.
Plan your border crossing entry carefully
Canadian professionals admitted as TN at a land port or airport receive a paper I-94 reflecting their authorized period. Track your admission date and expiration, because TN status is tied to the entry document, not just the offer letter. E-Verify will flag any mismatch between your I-94 and your employment authorization during onboarding.
Denver Health TN Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Denver Health sponsor TN visas?
Yes. Denver Health supports TN admission by issuing offer letters for qualifying Canadian and Mexican professionals in eligible USMCA occupations. The employer doesn't file a petition with USCIS; instead, you present Denver Health's offer letter at a U.S. port of entry or consulate. Eligible roles span clinical, nursing, and allied health departments.
Which roles at Denver Health typically qualify for TN admission?
Physicians, registered nurses, medical technologists, physical therapists, and pharmacists are among the roles most commonly supported at Denver Health. The role must map to a recognized USMCA profession and require at least a bachelor's degree or relevant licensure. Not every clinical title on Denver Health's careers page will qualify, so verify your occupation against the USMCA list before applying.
How do I start the TN process with Denver Health?
After receiving and accepting a job offer, request that Denver Health issue a formal TN support letter specifying your occupational category, duties, credentials, and employment term. Canadian citizens present this letter directly at the port of entry. Mexican citizens must schedule a visa interview at a U.S. consulate. USCIS is not involved in TN admissions for Canadians but processes consular applications for Mexican nationals.
How long does TN admission take at Denver Health?
Canadian professionals can be admitted as TN workers at the port of entry in a single day, assuming all documents are complete and accurate. Mexican nationals applying at a U.S. consulate face additional processing time that varies by post. Denver Health typically needs two to four weeks to finalize and issue the offer letter once hiring is confirmed.
How do I find TN-eligible job openings at Denver Health?
Migrate Mate filters Denver Health's open positions to surface roles that align with USMCA-eligible occupations, so you're not wasting applications on titles that won't support TN admission. You can also search Denver Health's careers portal directly and cross-reference each title against the USMCA professions list before reaching out to the hiring team.
How does TN visa admission work at Denver Health?
TN status is granted under the USMCA treaty — there is no USCIS petition or Labor Condition Application required. Canadian citizens can apply directly at a U.S. port of entry with an offer letter from Denver Health, while Mexican citizens must first obtain a TN visa at a U.S. consulate. The role must match one of the professions listed in USMCA Appendix 1603.D.1. Migrate Mate filters TN job listings to roles that fall within the eligible profession list.
