Match your credentials to USMCA profession categories
Driscoll hires across clinical specialties, but your degree and job title must align precisely with a USMCA-listed profession before HR will issue a support letter. Cross-reference your credential against the official USMCA professions list and confirm your specific role qualifies before applying.
Target clinical and allied health departments
Driscoll's pediatric focus means TN hires concentrate in nursing, respiratory therapy, radiology, and laboratory services. Tailor your application to departments with documented workforce demand, and use Migrate Mate to identify Driscoll's active hiring patterns for TN-eligible healthcare roles.
Request a detailed offer letter early in negotiations
Your TN admission depends on a Driscoll offer letter that specifies your job title, USMCA profession category, intended employment period, and salary. Ask HR explicitly for these details before your border or consular appointment, since incomplete letters are the leading cause of TN delays.
Verify your professional license transfers to Texas
Texas requires state licensure for most clinical roles, and Driscoll's HR team expects proof before finalizing your offer letter. Canadian nurses and therapists especially should initiate Texas Board endorsement paperwork early, since licensing gaps can delay your start date even after TN admission is granted.
Prepare wage evidence using OFLC Wage Search
Driscoll's offered salary must meet or exceed the prevailing wage for your occupation in the Corpus Christi labor market. Pull the wage level for your SOC code from OFLC Wage Search before your interview so you can negotiate confidently and flag any discrepancy to HR immediately.
Bring occupation documentation to your port of entry
Canadian TN applicants are admitted at the border without a prior USCIS petition. Bring your Driscoll offer letter, your degree and transcripts, your professional license, and a clear explanation of how your role maps to a USMCA profession. CBP officers make the admission decision on the spot.
Driscoll Children's Hospital TN Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Driscoll Children's Hospital sponsor TN visas?
Yes, Driscoll Children's Hospital supports TN admission for Canadian and Mexican professionals in USMCA-listed occupations. Driscoll does not file a USCIS petition for TN workers. Instead, it issues an offer letter that you present at a U.S. port of entry or consulate. Eligible roles are concentrated in clinical, nursing, therapy, and diagnostic departments.
Which roles and departments at Driscoll Children's Hospital typically receive TN support?
Driscoll's pediatric specialty hospital structure means TN professionals most often enter through nursing, respiratory therapy, radiologic technology, and clinical laboratory roles. Physical and occupational therapists also appear in Driscoll's allied health hiring. All roles must correspond to a recognized USMCA profession category, so confirm your specific job title maps correctly before pursuing an offer.
How do I start the TN process after receiving a Driscoll Children's Hospital offer?
Once Driscoll issues a formal offer letter specifying your USMCA profession category, employment duration, and salary, Canadian applicants proceed directly to a U.S. port of entry with supporting credential documents. Mexican nationals apply at a U.S. consulate abroad. There is no USCIS filing and no labor certification required, but your documentation must be complete before the appointment.
How long does TN admission take when hired through Driscoll Children's Hospital?
Canadian professionals admitted at the border can receive TN status the same day if documentation is complete. Mexican nationals typically wait several weeks for a consular appointment. Driscoll's HR team will coordinate your offer letter timeline, but delays in state licensure or incomplete credentials are the most common factors that extend the process beyond initial expectations.
How do I find open TN-eligible jobs at Driscoll Children's Hospital?
Migrate Mate lists TN-eligible openings at Driscoll Children's Hospital filtered by USMCA-compatible roles in healthcare and medical services. You can search by department and occupation to surface roles where Driscoll has a demonstrated pattern of supporting TN admission, saving time compared to manually reviewing general job boards that don't filter for visa compatibility.
How does TN visa admission work at Driscoll Children's Hospital?
TN status is granted under the USMCA treaty — there is no USCIS petition or Labor Condition Application required. Canadian citizens can apply directly at a U.S. port of entry with an offer letter from Driscoll Children's Hospital, while Mexican citizens must first obtain a TN visa at a U.S. consulate. The role must match one of the professions listed in USMCA Appendix 1603.D.1. Migrate Mate filters TN job listings to roles that fall within the eligible profession list.
