Confirm your role matches USMCA
TN admission is limited to occupations on the USMCA professions list, so verify your exact job title qualifies before applying at Emory Healthcare. Cross-reference your role against O*NET to confirm the occupational classification aligns with what consular officers expect to see.
Request a role-specific offer letter
Emory Healthcare's offer letter must name your specific USMCA occupation, your credentials, and the professional capacity you'll work in. A generic employment letter will slow your border or consulate crossing, so confirm HR has issued TN-specific documentation before you travel.
Benchmark your salary before negotiating
Emory Healthcare sets compensation by role and credential level, and healthcare wages in the Atlanta metro vary significantly by specialty. Pull OFLC Wage Search data for your occupation and region so you can negotiate from an informed position and flag any wage discrepancies before signing.
Target clinical departments with credential shortages
Emory Healthcare consistently recruits internationally trained professionals in respiratory therapy, medical laboratory science, and physical therapy. Focusing your applications on units facing staffing pressure in those disciplines increases the likelihood that hiring managers are already familiar with TN admission requirements.
Search Migrate Mate for active TN roles
Use Migrate Mate to filter Emory Healthcare job listings by TN-eligible occupations so you're only reviewing positions that match your USMCA credential category. That narrows your list to roles where the hiring team is actively supporting TN professionals rather than learning the process for the first time.
Prepare credential documentation before your interview
Emory Healthcare hiring managers in clinical roles need to verify your degree, licensure, and any foreign credential evaluations during the offer stage, not after. Assembling your transcripts, professional license, and CGFNS evaluation early prevents delays between offer acceptance and your border or consulate appointment.
Emory Healthcare TN Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Emory Healthcare sponsor TN visas?
Yes. Emory Healthcare supports TN admission for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying USMCA professions. It issues offer letters that TN candidates present at a U.S. port of entry or consulate. There is no USCIS petition involved. Eligible roles span clinical, allied health, and certain technical disciplines tied to the USMCA professions list.
Which roles at Emory Healthcare typically qualify for TN admission?
Emory Healthcare most commonly supports TN admission for roles that map to USMCA-listed occupations, including registered nurses, physical therapists, respiratory therapists, medical laboratory technologists, and certain scientific or engineering positions within its research and diagnostic divisions. Your specific job title must correspond to a named USMCA profession, not just fall within a related healthcare category.
How do I apply for a TN position at Emory Healthcare as a Canadian or Mexican national?
Apply directly through Emory Healthcare's careers portal and indicate your TN eligibility during the process. Once you receive an offer, HR issues a support letter confirming your role, credentials, and employment terms. Canadians present that letter at a U.S. land border or airport; Mexican nationals use it to apply for a TN visa at a U.S. consulate. USCIS is not involved in TN admission.
How long does TN admission processing take at Emory Healthcare?
For Canadian nationals, TN admission is typically granted at the border on the same day if your documents are complete. Mexican nationals applying at a U.S. consulate should expect standard nonimmigrant visa processing timelines, which vary by post and appointment availability. Emory Healthcare's offer letter is usually issued within the standard onboarding window after you accept an offer.
How do I find open TN-eligible jobs at Emory Healthcare?
Migrate Mate lets you filter Emory Healthcare listings by TN-eligible occupation so you're not manually reviewing roles that don't fit your USMCA credential category. You can also search Emory Healthcare's careers portal directly, filtering by department or specialty. Before applying, confirm your specific job title maps to a named USMCA profession using O*NET.
How does TN visa admission work at Emory Healthcare?
TN status is granted under the USMCA treaty — there is no USCIS petition or Labor Condition Application required. Canadian citizens can apply directly at a U.S. port of entry with an offer letter from Emory Healthcare, while Mexican citizens must first obtain a TN visa at a U.S. consulate. The role must match one of the professions listed in USMCA Appendix 1603.D.1. Migrate Mate filters TN job listings to roles that fall within the eligible profession list.
