Target roles on the USMCA professions list
Fairview Health Services hires TN professionals only for occupations explicitly listed under USMCA. Before applying, confirm your job title maps to a recognized category like Registered Nurse, Medical Technologist, or Pharmacist using O*NET to match duties precisely.
Get your credentials evaluated early
Fairview Health Services operates in a licensed healthcare environment where degree equivalency matters at the border, not just in HR. If your nursing or science degree is from a non-U.S. institution, arrange a credential evaluation before your offer letter is issued.
Request a detailed offer letter from HR
Your TN admission depends entirely on the offer letter Fairview Health Services provides. Ask HR to include your job title, duties, USMCA profession category, salary, and employment start date. Vague letters cause delays or denials at the port of entry.
Search Fairview's open roles on Migrate Mate
Fairview Health Services posts TN-eligible roles across clinical, laboratory, and allied health departments. Search Migrate Mate to filter open positions by visa type, so you're targeting roles where TN admission is already supported rather than negotiating it after an offer.
Prepare your license before the border crossing
Many Fairview Health Services roles require state licensure or national certification as a condition of TN admission. Canadian nurses, for example, must hold or show eligibility for Minnesota licensure. Delays in licensing can invalidate an otherwise complete TN package.
Understand the three-year period and renewal timing
TN status at Fairview Health Services is granted in three-year increments with no limit on renewals, provided your employment continues. If your role changes departments or job title, confirm the new duties still align with your original USMCA profession category.
Fairview Health Services TN Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Fairview Health Services sponsor TN visas?
Yes. Fairview Health Services supports TN admission by issuing offer letters for Canadian and Mexican nationals in USMCA-listed healthcare occupations. The company does not file a petition with USCIS. Instead, you present the offer letter at a U.S. port of entry or consulate to request TN status directly.
Which roles at Fairview Health Services typically qualify for TN status?
Fairview Health Services regularly hires TN professionals in clinical and allied health occupations, including Registered Nurses, Medical Technologists, Pharmacists, Physical Therapists, and related scientific roles. Eligibility depends on whether your specific job title and duties align with a recognized USMCA profession category, so confirm the match before applying.
How do I find TN-eligible jobs at Fairview Health Services?
Migrate Mate lets you filter Fairview Health Services job listings by visa type, making it straightforward to identify roles where TN admission is supported. Focus on positions in clinical, laboratory, and pharmacy departments, as these map most consistently to USMCA-listed professions within the health system.
How do I start the TN process after receiving an offer from Fairview Health Services?
Once Fairview Health Services issues your offer letter, Canadian nationals can proceed directly to a U.S. port of entry and request TN admission. Mexican nationals must schedule a visa interview at a U.S. consulate. In both cases, bring the offer letter, proof of citizenship, and credentials supporting your USMCA profession category.
How long does TN admission take at Fairview Health Services?
Canadian nationals typically receive a TN admission decision the same day at the port of entry, assuming documentation is complete. Mexican nationals face longer timelines due to consular scheduling. Fairview Health Services's HR team generally issues offer letters within the standard hiring timeline, but allow extra lead time if consular processing applies to your situation.
How does TN visa admission work at Fairview Health Services?
TN status is granted under the USMCA treaty — there is no USCIS petition or Labor Condition Application required. Canadian citizens can apply directly at a U.S. port of entry with an offer letter from Fairview Health Services, while Mexican citizens must first obtain a TN visa at a U.S. consulate. The role must match one of the professions listed in USMCA Appendix 1603.D.1. Migrate Mate filters TN job listings to roles that fall within the eligible profession list.
