Align your credentials to USMCA categories
Fresenius Medical Care hires across clinical and technical disciplines, but TN eligibility is defined by the USMCA professions list. Verify your occupation appears on that list and that your credentials match exactly, a registered nurse needs an RN license, not just a nursing degree.
Target dialysis and renal care departments
Fresenius Medical Care's core business is dialysis. TN candidates with backgrounds in renal nursing, medical technology, or clinical dietetics have the strongest fit with its staffing needs. Focusing your applications on nephrology-adjacent roles increases the likelihood of landing a TN-compatible offer.
Request a detailed offer letter from HR
The offer letter Fresenius Medical Care provides must specify your job title, duties, and that the role requires a USMCA-listed profession. A vague letter causes delays or denials at the border. Ask HR explicitly for a letter that ties your position to a recognized TN occupation category.
Verify your state nursing license transfers
Fresenius Medical Care operates clinics across multiple states, and state-specific RN licensing requirements apply. Canadian nurses must confirm their provincial credentials are accepted in the state where they'll work before the TN offer letter is issued, since mismatched licensure can void your admission documentation.
Use Migrate Mate to find Fresenius TN roles
Fresenius Medical Care posts openings across hundreds of U.S. locations. Migrate Mate surfaces roles filtered by TN-compatible employers so you're not guessing which listings actually support TN admission. Search by occupation category to find positions that match both your USMCA credentials and Fresenius's clinical hiring patterns.
Prepare for port-of-entry processing as a Canadian
Canadian TN applicants enter at a U.S. port of entry without a prior visa stamp. Bring your Fresenius offer letter, credential documents, and proof of Canadian citizenship. CBP officers adjudicate TN status on the spot, so a complete, well-organized package reduces the chance of a secondary inspection.
Fresenius Medical Care TN Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Fresenius Medical Care sponsor TN visas?
Fresenius Medical Care supports TN admission for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying USMCA professions. It issues offer letters that TN candidates use to establish status at a U.S. port of entry or consulate. Because TN is treaty-based, Fresenius does not file a petition with USCIS, the worker presents the offer letter directly to CBP or at a U.S. consulate.
Which roles at Fresenius Medical Care typically qualify for TN status?
Roles in registered nursing, medical technology, clinical dietetics, and scientific or laboratory disciplines are most commonly TN-eligible at Fresenius Medical Care. The company's core focus on dialysis and renal care means clinical positions tied to nephrology have the strongest alignment with both Fresenius's hiring needs and the USMCA professions list.
How do I apply for a TN role at Fresenius Medical Care?
Apply through Fresenius Medical Care's careers portal for roles that match a USMCA-listed profession. Once you receive an offer, request a detailed letter from HR specifying your job title, duties, and USMCA occupation category. Canadian nationals then present that letter at a U.S. port of entry; Mexican nationals apply at a U.S. consulate before traveling.
How long does TN processing take at Fresenius Medical Care?
For Canadian nationals, TN status is granted at the port of entry on the same day if documentation is complete. Mexican nationals must schedule a consular appointment, which typically adds several weeks depending on consulate availability. Fresenius Medical Care's HR team generally issues offer letters within a standard hiring timeline after an offer is accepted.
How do I find open TN positions at Fresenius Medical Care?
Migrate Mate lists TN-compatible openings at Fresenius Medical Care filtered by employer and visa type, so you can focus on roles that actually support TN admission. You can also search Fresenius's own careers site directly. Prioritize job postings that list specific degree and licensure requirements, since those are most likely to align with USMCA profession categories.
How does TN visa admission work at Fresenius Medical Care?
TN status is granted under the USMCA treaty — there is no USCIS petition or Labor Condition Application required. Canadian citizens can apply directly at a U.S. port of entry with an offer letter from Fresenius Medical Care, while Mexican citizens must first obtain a TN visa at a U.S. consulate. The role must match one of the professions listed in USMCA Appendix 1603.D.1. Migrate Mate filters TN job listings to roles that fall within the eligible profession list.
