Verify your role against USMCA professions
Not every healthcare title at Grady Health System qualifies for TN status. Cross-reference your exact job title with the USMCA professions list before applying. Clinical roles like registered nurse, pharmacist, and physical therapist have clear TN eligibility; vague or hybrid titles sometimes don't.
Get your credentials evaluated early
Grady Health System operates under Georgia state licensing requirements, so foreign nursing and pharmacy credentials must be evaluated before HR can issue a TN support letter. Start the CGFNS or equivalent credential evaluation process well before your target start date to avoid offer delays.
Request a detailed TN offer letter
Grady's HR team issues offer letters for TN candidates, but the letter must specify your USMCA profession category, your role's duties, your professional qualifications, and your intended employment period. A vague letter is the leading cause of TN denials at the port of entry.
Understand how Canadian and Mexican paths differ
If you're Canadian, you present Grady's offer letter directly at a U.S. land border or preclearance airport and receive TN status on the spot. If you're Mexican, you must schedule a U.S. consular interview in advance, which adds several weeks to your timeline.
Search Grady's active TN-eligible openings on Migrate Mate
Migrate Mate surfaces Grady Health System job listings filtered by visa sponsorship history, so you can identify which departments are actively hiring TN professionals. Targeting open roles in clinical operations or pharmacy gives you the strongest starting point before reaching out to Grady's recruitment team.
Benchmark your salary against OFLC Wage Search
While TN status doesn't require an LCA, Grady Health System's offers must reflect competitive market rates under Georgia wage conditions. Use OFLC Wage Search to look up prevailing wages for your occupation and location before negotiating, so your offer letter reflects a defensible salary figure.
Grady Health System TN Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Grady Health System sponsor TN visas?
Yes. Grady Health System supports TN admission for qualified Canadian and Mexican professionals in roles that match the USMCA professions list. The health system issues offer letters that TN candidates present at a U.S. port of entry or consulate. TN is not an employer-filed petition, so Grady's role is to provide documentation, not to file with USCIS.
Which roles and departments at Grady Health System typically qualify for TN status?
Clinical and allied health roles are the strongest fit for TN at Grady Health System. Registered nurses, pharmacists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and medical technologists are among the professions explicitly covered by the USMCA professions list. Administrative or operations roles generally don't qualify unless the position maps directly to a listed profession.
How do I start the TN process after receiving a job offer from Grady Health System?
Once Grady Health System extends an offer, HR issues a support letter confirming your role, duties, USMCA profession category, and qualifications. Canadian nationals take that letter to a U.S. port of entry for same-day TN admission. Mexican nationals schedule a consular interview at a U.S. embassy or consulate. You'll also need your degree credentials and professional license documentation ready.
How long does the TN process take when working with Grady Health System?
For Canadian nationals, TN admission at the border is typically granted the same day if documentation is complete. For Mexican nationals, consular appointment wait times vary by location but often run two to six weeks. Grady's internal credentialing and HR onboarding process adds additional time, so budgeting six to ten weeks from offer to start date is realistic.
How do I find TN-eligible jobs at Grady Health System?
Migrate Mate filters Grady Health System job listings by visa sponsorship type, making it straightforward to identify open roles where TN professionals are welcome. Focus your search on clinical departments where your licensed profession aligns with a USMCA-listed occupation. Confirm TN eligibility directly with Grady's HR team before accepting any offer to avoid surprises during the admission process.
How does TN visa admission work at Grady Health System?
TN status is granted under the USMCA treaty — there is no USCIS petition or Labor Condition Application required. Canadian citizens can apply directly at a U.S. port of entry with an offer letter from Grady Health System, while Mexican citizens must first obtain a TN visa at a U.S. consulate. The role must match one of the professions listed in USMCA Appendix 1603.D.1. Migrate Mate filters TN job listings to roles that fall within the eligible profession list.
