Verify your credential matches USMCA exactly
TN eligibility is determined by the USMCA professions list, not job title alone. Cross-reference your degree and license against the exact credential requirement for your occupation category before applying, since a mismatch disqualifies you regardless of the role's clinical needs.
Request an offer letter confirming USMCA language
Great Lakes Bay Health Centers's offer letter must state your position, credentials, and that the role qualifies under USMCA. Ask HR explicitly to include the USMCA profession category by name, since a vague letter increases the risk of a border officer's request for clarification.
Search open roles using Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter Great Lakes Bay Health Centers job listings by TN-eligible occupations in healthcare. The platform surfaces roles where TN admission is supported, saving you from applying to positions that don't align with USMCA's defined profession categories.
Prepare licensure documents before your border appointment
Healthcare TN admissions require proof of licensure or eligibility in the destination state. Gather your state license, degree transcripts, and any CGFNS certification before your port-of-entry appointment, since border officers can and do request original documents for clinical roles.
Align your salary expectation with prevailing wage data
Although TN doesn't require an LCA, Great Lakes Bay Health Centers will typically offer wages benchmarked to regional healthcare rates. Use the OFLC Wage Search and Bureau of Labor Statistics data for your occupation and Michigan geography to negotiate confidently before accepting an offer.
Time your port-of-entry appointment around hospital credentialing
Healthcare employers require credentialing before your start date, which can take four to eight weeks after TN admission. Coordinate your border crossing date with Great Lakes Bay Health Centers's HR team so your TN admission date leaves adequate time to complete credentialing before your first clinical shift.
