Verify your occupation matches USMCA
TN admission is only available for roles listed on the USMCA professions schedule. Physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists all qualify. Confirm your job title aligns with the exact USMCA category before applying, since H2 Health can't support TN for roles outside that list.
Request a role-specific offer letter
H2 Health's offer letter must state your profession, the USMCA category it falls under, your work location, and that the position is temporary. Ask your recruiter to include all four elements explicitly. A vague or incomplete letter is the most common reason TN applicants get delayed at the border.
Confirm your credentials before the interview
H2 Health operates in regulated therapy markets where state licensure and degree verification happen early. Have your primary-source transcripts, professional license, and any foreign credential evaluation ready before your first interview. Gaps in documentation extend the credentialing process and delay your start date.
Target outpatient clinics over hospital roles
H2 Health's core model is outpatient therapy, not hospital-based care. TN roles in outpatient settings move through the hiring process faster and involve fewer credentialing layers. Search for physical therapist, occupational therapist, and speech-language pathologist openings in clinic locations to find the highest-volume TN hiring.
Use Migrate Mate to find verified TN openings
Not every H2 Health listing specifies visa support upfront. Migrate Mate surfaces roles where TN admission is a realistic option based on the employer's hiring history and occupation type. Filter by TN-eligible healthcare roles to avoid wasting time on positions that won't move forward with your status.
Prepare for port-of-entry admission as a Canadian
Canadian nationals present their offer letter, credentials, and passport directly to a CBP officer at the port of entry. There's no advance USCIS filing. Practice explaining your role, its USMCA classification, and your temporary intent clearly. CBP officers make the admission decision in real time, so preparation matters.
H2 Health TN Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does H2 Health sponsor TN visas?
H2 Health supports TN admission for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying USMCA roles. It issues the offer letter required for TN entry, which you present at the border or consulate. The company doesn't file a petition with USCIS because TN is a treaty-based status, not an employer-petitioned visa.
Which roles at H2 Health are eligible for TN admission?
TN admission at H2 Health is most common in licensed therapy roles: physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists. These map directly to USMCA professions categories. Administrative, managerial, and general support roles are not eligible for TN regardless of the employer, since eligibility is defined by USMCA, not H2 Health's preferences.
How do I start the TN process with H2 Health?
You complete H2 Health's standard hiring process first. Once you receive a conditional offer, ask HR to issue a TN support letter specifying your USMCA profession category, work location, and the temporary nature of the role. Canadian nationals take that letter to the port of entry. Mexican nationals use it to schedule a U.S. consular appointment.
How long does it take to get TN status through H2 Health?
For Canadian nationals, TN admission happens at the port of entry on the day of travel, assuming documentation is complete. Mexican nationals need a consular appointment, which adds several weeks depending on post wait times. The main variable is H2 Health's internal credentialing process, which can take weeks for licensed therapy roles requiring state license verification.
How do I find TN-eligible jobs at H2 Health?
Search for physical therapist, occupational therapist, or speech-language pathologist openings at H2 Health locations. Not every listing will state TN support explicitly, so use Migrate Mate to identify roles where TN admission is realistic based on occupation type and employer hiring history. Confirm visa support with the recruiter before investing time in the interview process.
How does TN visa admission work at H2 Health?
TN status is granted under the USMCA treaty — there is no USCIS petition or Labor Condition Application required. Canadian citizens can apply directly at a U.S. port of entry with an offer letter from H2 Health, while Mexican citizens must first obtain a TN visa at a U.S. consulate. The role must match one of the professions listed in USMCA Appendix 1603.D.1. Migrate Mate filters TN job listings to roles that fall within the eligible profession list.
